QUESTION : Whats your favourite season for photography?

If I had to pick a favorite season Fall would be the winner hands down.

Autumn for sure, followed swiftly by early spring. I love the fresh greens of spring here is the UK, especially if they are backlit by a bit of sunshine. Btw, the image without the leaf worked better for me - thro the leaf was a little distracting somehow. Fair shout to you for creating a video in the midst of a workshop. No way could I do that - far too busy running about making sure my participants are happy :) Keep well out there sir

Definitely autumn in Australia. Weather is generally good, little wind, balmy sunny days. Summer is too hot, everything is dry. Spring is not too bad, with the flowering plants and trees, but can be windy. Winter is also OK, with bare branches on the trees, fog, frost. Can be miserable too, with flat light.🇦🇺

I have not realy a favorite season. With the right weather every season had it´s owen charm :-).

The second day of the workshop I didn't have many participants. Only 4 actualy and they were all prety advanced in theyre capability. So when they were all busy for a moment I quickly recorded some b roll and when someone took an image I just joined close to them so we could share ideas. The first day of the workshop was difficult that group was bigger. So the images are literally shot over the shoulders of the participants after giving instructions. And I have to admit that most of the b roll from the first video was recorded on the second day 😅 but sometimes I can't do it. Last Saturday I had a workshop were I didn't have time for anything. Took 2 images just to show people the effect of shutter speed on the image. So it really depends on what kind of group it is. Thanks for watchibg grt guido

Some lovely pohots I like the one with the leaf but love the one with the castle. Excellent job! I enjoy the fall season for photography because it makes it a bit easier for a beginner to get nice photos

Witch castle shot do you like most? The one with the complete castle or only the towe? Autumn indeed makes it easier. For me winter is the hardest time just because there is hardly any winter in the netherlands. Just grey bad weather and lots of rain. So not looking forward to the next few months 😅 thanks for watchibg grt guido

The one with full castle is my favorite but I also like the tower one, both have such great color

Made the most of it for sure. Time was short for the 150 to 400 shot. I've heard it said when it's overcast point your camera down. Wide aspect was a good idea as well. Like the moving water shots. Fog machine came in handy for sure

Haha indeed the little fog really helped out in that castle environment. Indeed time was short for the 150-400 shot. The light only lasted for 30 seconds so there was no need to get everyone there. Thanks for watching again. Grt guido

I was there already 3 times in autumn at the Hoegne and it was always fantastic. Great photography and last time I was there with a friend photographer we had a great time at the restaurant(beside the parking) outside with fireplace and a drink with dozen of photographers. My next visit will be in spring(fresh colors I hope)...

It is a great area indeed. I don't like that restaurant myself. I once walked in to ask if I could use the toilet about 15 minutes before it officially opened. The owner almost screamed me out of the place so that was the last time I visited it. But the area is fantastic. Try visiting in winter time when there is snow and ice. Thanks for watching grt guido

Hi Guido, where did you buy the fog machine…… 😂😂😂 lovely photos and the castle makes for a nice spot. Really liked the idea of taking a photo through a leave 😊 will certainly give it a go. No special favourite regarding the different seasons, they have all got their merit. Thanks for taking us along!

For me I like all the seasons but winter in the netherlands is really difficult. No snow and no colours usually means a very boring time. Haha I don't know about the fog machine. Would be a cool accesoire for landscape photographers do haha. Thanks for watching grt guido

Ik vond de foto een beetje druk dus dacht dit is wel een oplossing. Ik had nog een andere versie waar ik het blad mooier vond maar daar was de alles achter het blad helaas niet scherp. Maar leuk om te zien dat je een beetje creativiteit wel kan waarderen. Bedankt voor het kijken en je comment. Grt guido

Hi Guido Leuke video, met mooie foto’s ik vind de foto zonder blad voor de lens het mooiste van de twee, wel leuk gevonden. Creativiteit maakt de fotografie hobby tot een leuke bezigheid.

Very enjoyable Guido, shooting through the leaf gave an interesting perspective, although I marginally prefer the shot without the leaf. Look forward to the next one 👍

Thanks for watchibg and sharing your thoughts about the image. I had a image were the leaf was more equally around the image but ubfortunatly the water and tree were out of focus so I could not use that one. Thibk that looked better. Grt guido

Hello Guido Think we have sometimes the same idea. The image with leave in front of the lens looks great :-). We had the last weeks nearly the same weather and I hope it will getting better with little bit more sun. Grt Ernesto

Very nice and I like the way you make up your compositions 👍 Did you make the video recently as there are still a lot of leaves and you wear light clothes? You asked for my favorite season: September - February and May. No mosquitos, snow and rain and a lot of fresh air!
