Very good Q&A! Question for Paul - what does he like the most about living in Oregon and what does he miss from Texas?

Thanks for your thoughtful and in-depth response to my question and I'm glad you have so many creative ideas and thoughts to continue working on videos with. I got in on Jill Maurer's jewelry along with you and I love how rugged and indestructible yet gorgeous her pieces are(like the necklace today in your video). I'd enjoy seeing any/all other jewelry that you haven't shown us yet in future videos!

Can't wait to see Paul. I can't remember: did you do a video and tour of your current apartment? If you do, I'd love to see it.

I did an office tour which is linked in the description box. For privacy reasons, I don't give tours of homes I'm currently living in.

I love your videos, have learned so much. I really enjoy the history of brands you provide. What is the best materials to use for putting inside handbags for stuffing. What do you recommend. I appreciate all the information you provide. Have a great day.
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
Thank you. Great question. I don't think anyone has ever asked that before. I find it depends on the bag and how precisely it needs to be stuffed. Air paper or giant bubble wrap is good for large bags that don't need shaping, like totes. If something needs more help to keep its shape, crumpled paper is what I use. Just make sure it's non-acidic and doesn't have color that could bleed onto the bag. Bag organizers can also be a great option for stuffing and shaping.

Enjoyed this video a lot! Can't wait to see your top 24 bags. Have you ever thought about being a consultant or authenticator for designer bags? With all the scams online, people who want to buy from the pre- loved market can use all the help and advice they can get. Something to think about? I really enjoy your videos, you have a very engaging style which is easy to listen to.
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
I wouldn't want to do authentication because I don't believe anyone can do that and be 100% accurate. When you say consulting, could you elaborate on what you mean?

Yes please, to an Alexis Bittar collection vid! I also have a 'bag' question(s): You are an artist / designer... Have you ever thought of designing a bag / collection of bags, yourself? What would your perfect bag / collection look like? Materials / features / shapes / colours / sizes / variations / etc.? Working for yourself, this could be a logical next step for you...? Or a colab with Portland Leather Goods?! Oh - another bag question! Have you ever considered / would you ever consider ordering a custom bag from Launer?
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
Thanks for the questions. I have not thought about designing a bag and that's because of the manufacturing process. I've seen others do it and it's not a route I want to pursue. My perfect collection is whatever collection I have at the moment (minus a few dream bags). Lots of variety. Yes, the plan is that working for myself is the next (and current) step. I have collaborated before with PLG. If you mean something like collaborating on a bag design, that's not something that interests me for a variety of reasons. Haven't heard of Launer. I'll check them out. Thanks.

What does Paul enjoy to add value to his life either in the way of luxury, collecting or the self care arenas? I’m seeing an intersection with luxury and the broader idea of just what adds value to life and wondering what that is for Paul!
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
Great question, thank you. I've added it to the list.

I forgot to mention that I'd also like to see an update on your scarves, twillies, etc collection. Now that I invested in an Hermes scarf, I will never buy another LV one for a similar price, as the quality is second to none. I've looked for pre-loved silk Hermes scarves and the prices are oftentimes higher than retail. I am thinking that the word has gotten out there and for retired Hermes scarves, they really truly are investments, as they re-sell for a very lot of $!
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
I'll do one but I have another to unbox first. Not sure when I'll get around to that one. I try to spread out the brands I unbox instead of doing the same ones back to back. It's on the list, though. :)

Question for Paul, iirc he was a respiratory therapist. If you could do it all over again would you still choose to be a respiratory therapist? Or would you have chosen a different specialty? I’m at a crossroads in life and I’m considering various jobs in the medical field.

Great question. He'll answer that one in the video for sure. I'm curious about his response, too.

She mentions Facebook, there are a few groups that have resellers or just people selling their bags they’re not using anymore
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
Yes, some of the Coach Facebook groups are a good resource. Also, it depends on what you mean by good. Are you looking for variety (Facebook and selling platforms like ebay and Posh), low prices (same groups), rare and restored pieces (etsy)?

Love the jewelry you are wearing today (of course 😉)! Love the Beat bag. You just made me go look at preloved versions you influencer you. It's been amazing seeing your progression from being a teacher in Houston to a full time KZbinr in Portland. You seem so much more relaxed and inspired.

Hi Autumn, since you mentioned resellers in this video I thought I would share what happened to me recently. I was on Poshmark and put in a quote for a vintage Louis Vuitton denim patchwork handbag and my quote was accepted. (This handbag was in excellent condition and priced at @$3800). After which I went back to the original listing and found the pictures had been changed to a bag that was worn, dirty in places and with leather that had curled up. I had never had this happen before; I don’t shop preloved too often. But it was a bait and switch. After some time and anxiety and frustration the seller cancelled the transaction and the money was put back on my credit card. I will probably never by preloved again.
@AutumnBeckman2 күн бұрын
That's horrible! I'm so sorry that happened to you! I know it's disheartening but I'd encourage you not to let this experience put you off preloved bags entirely. Most sellers are trustworthy. There are some precautions you can take like making screenshots of the listing before you buy it and filming when you unbox the item to show you haven't tampered with the box and didn't put a different bag in there. It's unfortunate that we have to think about these things. Glad you got your money back. By the way, Posh is not one of the places I recommend despite the fact that I've purchased there many times. Mercari and Depop are even worse. Mercari has lots of fakes and Depop has lots of scammers. Posh and ebay are the best of those kinds of sites with individual sellers, in my experience.
