A million and one thank-yous to Michael Andrews for letting me use his beautiful historical 3D environment for this Victorian era ambience. Check him out here: www.artstation.com/michaelandrews I love the strong autumn vibes in this ambience. Hope you enjoy the relaxing rain sounds, soft bells, crows, horses clopping and nighttime sounds! Thanks for watching! -Autumn

Hi Autumn Cozy! This is defintally much more an autumn video which I've really needed... it's not even July and yet I'm craving those cool, breezy and rainy days of autumn. Thanks so much for this new ambience, those mansions look both amazing and mysterious. The fog rising and the bugs swarming around the lamp posts make it much more alive as well... the clopping of the hooves on the streets take me to the time of the carriage when horses ran the streets instead of cars... peaceful times, better times. Thanks so much, this ambience for sure is truly amazing! :] :]

Come along now, Holmes. We have a garishly early appointment tomorrow. Must I meet with him, Dr. Watson? Now now, Sherlock. We had this issue the previous week. Sherlock you are my sidekick and a renowned crime solving aficionado, and I intended to keep this little charade for as long as possible. Do try to breathe. My dear fellow as long as you remember my words you'll be fine. And for goodness' sake Sherlock, don't say anything about the case to anyone including Mrs. Marsden. You've landed us in hot water without a moment's thought last time we met Mr. Principle. I'm sorry Doctor. Why that's perfectly fine Sherlock, so long as you do not get carried away again. I need you looking the part and please do stay sharp. Moriarty will certainly be distracted, I shall gain access to his offices there was something about that painting. What painting, Doctor? I need to be one step ahead of Moriarty, he is getting too close to working out you are not really a good crime solver as I've been making you out to be. But you are Dr. Watson! Time is getting along now Sherlock, I do require my scotch. Let's grab a carriage at once, no time to lose. You need your beauty sleep Mr. Holmes. And please do not mention adrenochrome, not even to Scotland-Yard. Alright Dr. Watson, what's adrenochrome again? Our carriage is here, climb aboard we've no time to waste Mr. Holmes. I'm beginnin' to like this world you've created, Dr. Watson. I've never been as proud in all me life, as now Doctor.

Imagine being a paperboy getting up at 5 in the morning when it's still dark, walking down the street to the newspaper company, passing closed and dark shop windows to get your stack of papers, then walking around the city, up cobblestone steps and across stone bridges delivering them as the sun slowly rises and lights up the city and gradually, bit by bit the sound of voices greeting each other, hoof-steps across the paved streets and the bustle of shop-owners setting up fills the air. You deliver your last paper, then head to the coffee shop where you get your usual coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese from Mr. Butters, watching the street, now full of carriages and people.

Since then, it seems there's tons of them popping out all over the place even though I've been wishing to find something like this for AGES, but didn't know how to look for it! I had to build a whole new category to store them in, but this is my real favorite! I've got like over 100 of them so far, including the black screen sound only vids for us to fall asleep to at night! My husband can't go to sleep (he sez) if the TV is left on. He can, and does frequently, but just doesn't always stay that way! So, I put the tv on the timer for two hours, and we're off! Thanks for doing these!

Makes me want to go back to that time just to hear the quiet. 🤫 I imagine it was pretty quiet at night with the occasional horse carriage and maybe even people carrying on conversation. Definitely not car horns nor airplanes flying over.
@sisuguillam51094 жыл бұрын
It was really really loud actually. People complained about noise constantly. Street vendors were ever present, as were all kind of street acts (with or without animals/Musical instruments). Carriage wheels on cobbles are so loud that straw was put down in front of houses when inhabitants were sick or lay dying. Shops were open late at night too. Judith Flanders has written books about victorian houses and victorian London, as well as one called Consuming Passions: Leisure and Pleasure in Victorian Britain you might find interesting.

Go to Mackinaw Island in Michigan if you like this. Outside at night in what amounts to "downtown" and all you'll hear is horses walking around. No cars or engine sounds. Boat horns out on the lake. What it might have been like in the 1800s. You have to be there to realize that no matter where you are in America, even in the deepest rural areas you will always hear engine sounds because that sound will carry for more than 5 miles. Mackinaw offers a chance to find what no modern sounds is like, since the island is miles out in Lake Huron from shore!

But I hope, whoever is reading this, things are changing for the better for you and your loved ones. These circumstances aren't permanent, they are temporary. Keep pushing forward, you will see the light soon. Always remind yourself in times of adversity that 'This too shall pass'. "Professor Van Helsing?" "Yes?" "Are you as good as they say?" Van Helsing couldn't help but smile; he was older now, SO MUCH older, but he certainly wasn't dead! "Let's just say the mind is a lot sharper than it used to be sonny. I can't move as quick, but by God, I can think faster!" The young man smiled; having the Professor along might not be a bad thing after all...as HE saw it, it would be their WITS, not their stamina, that would see this through.
