Thanks for taking the time to review and post. From my perspective, looking at that beam pattern, I would not buy that light, even without taking the shabby build quality into consideration. That hotspot that the light casts it horrendous. Am I wrong? Was the light pattern acceptable for you?

I like a good spot light down the trail, but I agree, I think this light bar had too much spot and I would have liked to seen more of a balance between spot and flood patterns. Thanks for your comments!

@trailrecon thanks for the great video ! Have you noticed with this type of setup, considering the location... does the light bar interfere with your windshield washer nozzles ? Looks like the way the mount is designed, it sets the light bar directly in front of the stream. ?

Love the channel man. I am strongly considering this light bar now prior to this review I had no intentions of buying one I was strictly only rigid. For the price of this light its more than what I need for my truck. The razor does all the deep back woods stuff my truck gets me to the destinations so sometimes were 4x4 for a few miles in woods. This is perfect for my needs. Thanks.

Have you tested the waterproof aspect? Heard some people sealed theirs off but didn't know if that was necessary or just an extra security measure. I just bought the Auxbeam 52 in Philips light bar for my jeep and trying to figure out what needs to be done to get it ready.

Congrats on your new light! I didn't do any water testing, but I can see that maybe sealing with a little silicon where the bolt/lens meet up might be a good idea long term.

Nice Video as usual Brad. Though one thing: Does it has a way to turn on the lights at different times? I guess a 4 way switch would best describe it. example: OFF / Floods ON - Spots OFF / Floods OFF - Spots ON / Floods ON - Spots ON .

Ridge is the best in my opinion but there so expensive you gotta pay to play. so for now I'm just buying cheap ones got a few from Walmart, amazon and ebay gotta say the 15" one I got from Walmart beats the 54" one I got off amazon but I'm going the cheap way for now

Not sure on the quality of the Auxbeam. As you pointed out the construction has flaws and you couldn't use the mount it came with? I know Rigid makes a great quality mount very similar to the one you bought. The jury is still out here ;) Thanks for the review!

The mounts are generic and may work in many other applications, but just not practical for use on a Jeep. Thanks!

The mounts that come with the light bar will not work with the Jeep hood hinges... have to order the specific mounts.

hey great video ! . going to sub right now . have a quick question though regarding the hinge bolts ... the factory bolts look like they're painted over and it seems that when you loosen the factory bolt it will break the paint .. did you have this issue ? or.do they come off without issue . thanks !

U should try Napa brand light bars my bro just orders some for the store and they have a rigid light stand and I plugged a Napa one close to a rigid one and the rigid is a little brighter but for the price I would go with Napa pods where like 70 bucks

Nice review as always. Thank you for being honest about everything and not a "salesman". Do you get any reflection off the hood? More so than if you had mounted it above the windshield? I would have like to see a little more detail on if you ended up routing the wiring through the firewall. Love your channel!

Nope, they angle of the washer nozzles isn't affect by the light.

I think it would be a good light for a john boat because it's low profile, plus it doesn't draw very much power, so easy to run off a small battery.

so what exactly does the relay do? seems really pointless in a simple on off circuit with only one load.. anybody know why?

Main purpose of a relay is to put it close to the battery so there is a shorter positive wire carrying the load. Meaning you can carry a bigger load than if that wire was another 15 feet longer because it has to go from the battery to the switch inside the car and then back out to the light. For an LED light bar relays are kind of pointless because the light bars draw less than 10 amps. Relays are more for headlights and stuff that carry more amperage.

FYI this will not fit with your rough country hood brackets. They are 22.5 inches apart and this light bar is 21.3 or so. 100% would not fit my brackets. Great looking light bar though
