Awesome! Thank you for that information and your thoughts on the usefulness of those devices. I can definitely see the benefit of the cold shoe adaptor. I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to use my external flash with the I-2 - this seems like the answer to the conundrum of making that work!

I’ve been having a hell of a time finding a cable that works. I’ve bought quite a few mono cables to use with my promaster 1700 but has not worked at all. Can you recommend a place to buy a cable that works?

A flash that large may work better with a bracket on the tripod socket.

Oh yeah but with the tape I mentioned it does work on camera when needed.

Thanks for this video! I literally bought the I-2 when it came out for the external flash option. Haven’t gotten it to work once. I have a Canon 600EX-RT and a PC sync cord…do I have to set the flash to a certain setting? I cannot find anything online. Any suggestions? Thanks again!

It should just work once plugged into the camera- I suspect it must be a setting on the flash- I use it with a Metz flash and it is spot on

It’s just a mini plug to Metz flash cord
