Thanks Arnel for this lesson, you're the best English teacher I've never seen :) For me this subject was easy to understand because this is not the first time I work on auxiliary verbs and main verbs . For me the hardest subject is the tenses , present perfect, future continuous.... But your videos help me a lot to improve my English. Wensday you're doing a live , don't you ? I'm looking forward to it 😊

Pura Vida Arnel🌴. I wish I had the whispering Arnel while I have a doubt while writing my work emails. I got 15/15. That was a wonderful review to refresh my memory. I wrote some sentences to practice the auxiliary verbs and tenses 1. Some of the flowers at my garden have been eaten by ants lately. 2. I do love to have a lighten house for Christmas. 3. I have been a mentor for my coworkers due to experience.

That would be so cool if I could shrink down to a little "English fairy" to help you 🧚♀️😆. Excellent score Kattia! I'm so happy this was a good review for you. In your second example, it would be better to say: I do love to have Christmas lights in my house. / I do love to make my house festive with lights. ;)

Hi, Arnel! It was a useful lesson as always and I got 15/15. I have two questions. - V1 refers to the base form of the verb, not the present simple form, doesn't it? - Do we consider the whole phrasal verb (verb+particle) as the main verb?
@ArnelsEverydayEnglishАй бұрын
Wonderful score Kamatchi! Great questions. 1) Yes, V1 usually refers to the base verb, but because it's the same as the present simple verb (for the vast majority of verbs in English), it's often labelled V1 for simplicity. It's just the 3rd person form that makes it different. 2) Yes, a phrasal verb contains two (or three) parts and the whole thing would be considered the main verb. I hope this helps! :)
@kamatchihariharan369Ай бұрын
@ArnelsEverydayEnglish Thanks for the immediate response. That's so sweet of you, Arnel! ❤️ By the way, apart from being a learner of the English language, I'm also a budding KZbinr. That's why I want to learn each and everything and focus on the differences and nuances. Becoming an English tutor is my dream. I want to teach English to my Tamil-speaking audience, especially students from Tamil-medium schools. And you are truly my inspiration! I really want to make videos like yours -- a visual treat for learners.🤩😍

Ma'am, please teach us the difference between "having said that" and "in spite of that"🙏🏼. Can we use them interchangeably?
@MasterEnglishSkills10119 күн бұрын
'Having said that' and 'In spite of that' are similar but not interchangeable: 'Having said that' introduces a contrast or adds to what was just mentioned, like: 'The movie was long. Having said that, I still enjoyed it.' 'In spite of that' emphasizes doing or feeling something despite a challenge, like: 'It rained all day. In spite of that, we went hiking.'

Dear ma'am. I want to apologise for my previous comment. Please forgive me for that😔. Actually I can't speak and write English correctly😔. I'm from India and I'm a Bengali. I've just started learning English from your channel. But I still make a lot of mistakes. Ma'am please teach us how to use "feel - feel like", "sound - sound like", "smell - smell like", "look - look like" and "taste - taste like". And please teach whether we can use them in different tenses like simple present tense, present continuous tense, simple past, past continuous tense.

Please talk about this sentence grammatically are you most abhor northerners? Most + verb + of
@MasterEnglishSkills10119 күн бұрын
The sentence 'Are you most abhor northerners?' isn’t grammatically correct. Here’s why 😊: The word 'most' doesn’t fit here, as it’s usually used with adjectives (e.g., 'most interesting'), not verbs like 'abhor'. The verb 'abhor' means 'to hate deeply' and doesn’t need 'most' before it. A correct version could be: 'Do you abhor northerners?' (if it’s a general question).
