Ava Kris Tyson Situation F**ked The Trans Community

As someone in the trans community it's always hard to talk about negative things that are happening in our community but somethings you just have to do it. Ava Chris Tyson has been accused of inappropriately talking to a 13 year old when she was 20. Unfortunately this has set everyone who was already being horribly transphobic to her since she came out into even more of a transphobic craze. In this video I break down what happened, why I do think she's in the wrong, but why it's not ok to use her transness against her. @@Lilith-._.many people who are defending her seem to just be in doubt and honestly who can blame them. Apparently the things that she did were done a while before she came out and all suddenly the Internet remembers her messed up actions after she came out. I do think that she is definitely guilty for inappropriate behavior around a teen to say the least but I can honestly not blame the trans community for being in doubt when they’re used to people trying to frame them that way. Plus I’m sure it must hurt when you find out that the person who you thought might be a chance of making the wider internet more accepting turns out to be a bad one.

Lol sure whatever. Let’s not point out how hypocritical the trans community is in this aspect, lol if so even worse cause you are defending predators. Any child interacting with an adult is suspicious, but I think people are angry that no one can second guess a trans person doing it without being a bigot, trying to help a 10 year old from achieving a Predophilliac body type. Lol who cares if you have to go too 18 and have a bigger back, I’d rather you do that, than a child going about regular life being a statistic for being completely innocent, and normal until some freak in a dress ruins they’re life.

I can remember a couple of school masters who had verbal exchanges in class with teenage pupils that were worse than those Ava Tyson is accused of. There was a gay boy in my class. He was 15 to 16 at the time. This teacher would make comments about his hair and how pretty his hair was. All the time calling him `Her` and `She` which certainly were not his preferred pronouns. The teacher even made a crude remark about him and anal sex. As a boarder this boy had to have his bags searched for contraband when going to or returning from trips home. I remember the same teacher taking a deodorant out of his bag. The teacher then sniffed it and said `look there`s one of her smellys.` He then threw his deodorant on to the floor of the bus and upturned his bag poring everything into the floor as well. The teacher was in his latte 20. The boy 15 or 16. This same boy came in to class the morning after a heavy drinks party organized by one of the prefects. It was O.K.d by the Assistant Head Master as the Maths` Mistress and the English master would be in attendance. A story went around afterwards that the Maths Mistress had made a pass at the Prefect running the party, We all knew she had a crush on him. But I don`t believe she would do something that unethical The English Master drank so much that he threw up over his own sweat shirt. The boys confiscated the English Master`s car keys to prevent him driving home. They let him sleep in one of the bunks. So it was after this party that this same gay boy walks into the first class of the morning. This class was taken by a much nicer teacher. A man in his 30`s. The gay boy announced `F@@@ ! My head !`due to the pain of his hangover. The teacher replied ` I would sooner not !` That got a big laugh from all of us. I doubt if he could have have said it now. 40-50 years ago it was a different world. Independent schools were worlds of their own. Almost like cults. In my 20`s I spoke to the Assistant Head. He told me that the Children`s Act becoming law had changed things a lot. I have since heard that there was a problem with OFSTEAD in the `90`s. Social Services were called in and at least one on-the-spot dismissal. Same name and buildings. But it is a different place now.

I’m 40 trans woman who coached youth soccer as a he for 15 years. When I came out as trans I decided to not be a youth soccer coach anymore. Majority of my teams I coached got to semi finals at least and I was a good coach. Had a season my team were undefeated and won the grand final as well. People at soccer have said it’s bitty that I stopped coaching youth soccer because I was good at it. Also even my friends have said is your identity as trans woman but coaching is also my identity too.

VERY ethical to rob them of that cope, ethical and necessary, it may be traumatic, but if you don't break the cycle, either Kris themselves (because if the victim themselves is like "this is okay" then Kris can be like "Oh I can continue this) or God forbid, the victim themselves will repeat this behavior and continue a cycle of grooming while thinking its ok.

I don't really think we have the authority to psychoanalyze someone on the internet based off of tweets. Whether Lava is coping or not, it's not ethical to rob them of their agency. Dear Trans Community: Stay Strong! These kinds of people in the community do not represent your community as a whole, no matter how much opposition and hate groups would try to frame it that way! I can not imagine how this feels to the Trans Community, but from the point of view of someone from the Gay Community that has seen this or other out right disturbing things happen multiple times with prominent members of our community; all this proves is there are no boundaries for inappropriate or sick behaviour. A sad fact of life is all communities including those that oppose your own have individuals like this hiding among them, but generally do not represent that community as a whole. For any group of people to act otherwise is pretty much a public form of denial or projection on their group's part. The important thing is how you deal with the news and information as it becomes available and how you regard that person(s) in the community after the fact, not before. The mere fact this news has "shookith" so many members of your community to speak out and start a dialogue regarding the situation as it currently exists is a good thing, and shows it will not likely set your communities causes back in the public opinion as much as the opposing groups might be implying/hoping for right now.

I don't think you understand what listen means in the case of victims accounts of the events. When dealing with potential trauma you don't just listen what is said but listen to how and in what context. The issue with Lava's accounts is they are super general and send up red flags that the potential victim may not be aware of the damage done and instead feels the need to protect or deflect for their potential abuser. That is the whole difficulty in situations of possible abuse, especially when grooming could have been involved; they've been conditioned to think there is and never was anything wrong with it.

I loved watching Mr. Beast videos because he was always hosting fun challenges as well as helping people in need. On top of that, Ava was a part of the channel so it was fantastic to see trans representation on the largest youtube channel. But now, Ava turned out to be not so good and now people are attacking the trans community because of it. I am in two minds about this. Yes, I get your points, it was inappropriate. But we do not know enough to really judge, I find. And yes, sometimes a victim does not realise that they are in fact a victim and just supressing trauma. But it is also possible that what they say is actually true. That however is for a therapist to find out, not for us to armchair diagnose. I have no more background knowledge than this video here, so I might miss some more severe things that are said elsewhere, but just from what I see here I think it could be possible that Ava has done some mistakes and since grown as a person. Furthermore calling somebody "big boy" does not have to be flirtatious, I had similar nicknames from older family members as a child and yes, I am absolutely sure they were harmless. The same goes for "dad", some people use that for a person who is coming across a little pushy. The kissy face smiley might have just been to take the edge off a rough joke. And while this is much more substancial, 14 year olds make jokes about hentai. When I was at school it was annoyingly common for the boys to have a very dirty humor. The dirtier the better, it was one of the ways to prove yourself a "real man". Those were out of context text messages and it is not rare that those are grossly misinterpreted. Now, I am not saying these are not some significant red flags, this all is good cause for concern. But for me, this is not really enough hard evidence to really condemn a person. There are more benevolent ways to interpret all of this and as long as that is so, I will refuse to judge anyone. In any way, digging up old dirt and making a media spectacle out of that is low. If there was anything solid to this, they should report this to the police and persue justice that way. Dragging this into the public eye is certainly not to the benefit of Lava...

This is forsooth very bad taste and a significant red flag, I follow you this far. And I agree wholeheartedly on your dislike of Shadman. The poster depicted a fictional character, as far as I could find out, which is gross enough, but not the same as a photo of... unspeakable things with children. I could not find anything on wether or not she still supports this individual, though, I would have wished for her to distance herself more strongly from this. So this is all good reason to call someone out, unsubscribe and dislike her, but evidence she harmed anyone it is not. I think that it is important to keep the identity of victims private. It is clear in this situation that their name should not have been made a part of this conversation. If someone has been victimized they are the only person who has a right to say so. It is important to expose predators but their victims should be left out of it unless they absolutely want to be a part of the conversation.

It's ridiculous that every single trans person who did something like this in the past makes every trans person bad, but they don't say anything about the way larger percentage of cis people who did the same thing. Every adult who tries to form a relationship with a minor without that minor being a relative is seen as suspect at the least. With the trans community, you add; Pride Parades featuring male nudity and fetish wear regardless of a child`s presence; an obsession with other people`s children and their `gender` (sex/sexuality) to the extent of being pro-puberty blocker use; being pro-hormone blocker use on children; being pro drag queens in elementary schools; `trans men` being girls who remove their breasts and so lose a major external sign of adulthood; Jeffrey Marsh and other influencers trying to isolate children from their parents to talk to them alone; Lgb advocating minors being taken away from their parents if they disagree with their `gender identity`; just looking at some `trans women`, middle aged men trying their best to look like 15 year old hentai girls. The list goes on. Conservatives don`t need to bother painting all the community with the same `suspect` brush...it`s all there for everybody to see. An ideology with an unhealthy interest in children. What`s that slogan `Protect Trans Kids`? Sure, the ultimate predator`s slogan, making themselves into a child`s hero. Just leave other people`s kids alone, cut out all the pre pubescent imagery (I haven`t even mentioned furries...) stop campaigning for minor`s having autonomy over their bodies...and then the trans community wouldn`t have such a bad reputation when it comes to children.

Sorry if my thoughts come off as a jumbled mess or I word anything insensitively; it's hard for me to think of multiple things at once. (^ ^ ;;) I really focus on using people's preferred pronouns, and while I don't see anything _wrong_ with letting others know which ones Ava uses, the main focus should be on the inappropriate way she interacted with a minor. I understand that a lot of people's first impulse is to go, "They used the wrong pronouns," but there's a time and place for everything. I think the smoothest thing to do is refer to her with her preferred pronouns but not make it the focal point of comments, which transphobes will use as ammo to say stuff like "The LGBTQ community cares more about pronouns than children," even though it's probably mostly Twitter and definitely not all queer people. The way I'd sum up my opinion of this situation is to call it disheartening. A kid was put in danger, a lot of people aren't focusing on that, and transphobes will probably spin the whole thing as "All transgender people are groomers because this individual did it and a lot of people are correcting pronouns instead of caring about the child!" ...while obsessing over trans people instead of addressing the problem of grooming. TLDRー It's like if I were to say all cookies are bad because I had an allergic reaction to one type. Transphobes aren't viewing this as "Here is a specific person who did bad things," so the trans people who haven't done anything wrong are being lumped in with her.

`Why is every one suddenly a Peter File ?`(that is the term that we use online in the U.K.) The U.K. has been going through this for the last 10 to 15 years. So many celebrities that I grew up with now exposed. The rumors had always been there. . My school was visited by the Bishop of Lewes. Peter Ball. There is a documentary about his crimes here on You Tube. Older boys joked about the Bishop fancying them. One even made a teasing remark to the Bishop about homosexual monks. Decades latter former Bishop Peter Ball was jailed for turning 16 monks and novices into @@@ slaves. One of them killed himself because of it. Curiously no one claims all Bishops are predatory. Ava is a problem though. Transphobes are praising pre-transition `old Chris` ignoring the fact that it was during that era of her life that this all happened. Kevin Spacey and Huw Edwards came out as gay after they were accused. Bad people are trying to play the LGBT card. It is making me very suspicious of `celebrities` coming out now.

This title is reductive. No one person can misrepresent an entire minority or community. It's a tragic situation for sure. As a trans person, I don't think it's healthy for you to perpetuate this narrative that she represents/can or should affect the view of millions of trans people. I would consider how you speak about minority groups to your audience, even if a member of the minority group has potentially committed a crime or unfavorable series of actions.

She`s scare-mongering. Nothing has changed. Society is aware there are a tiny group of men who do unsavoury things. Being `trans` doesn`t make a difference. Outside of the online bubble, nobody thinks there is any difference between a man and a man wearing clothes traditionally associated with women. The Left, the feminists, and even LGB prefer society to believe a tiny proportion of the 49% of society that is male might do these things. I just don't think we should call whatever that was grooming. I think that's the part Lava is upset about, he doesn't see it as grooming and he doesn't want to be reduced to a victim. I get that tbh, I hate being called a victim even when it's in reference to situations where I was in fact a victim. Ava was being inappropriate, whether that be because she simply lacked a filter around minors or if she had more sinister intentions. But if Lava really did turn out fine and nothing too horrible happened, was he really a "victim"? According to Lava himself the answer is no, and I think we should respect that. I mean, it's well established here that you shouldn't call people things they don't want to be called.

Something that Lava denied until someone who saved screenshots came out and Lava relented that they quote "Don’t have the best memory of the situation." Also the leakers do call themselves victims of grooming. So what Lava says is to be inherently doubted as he is definitely not a reliable source as is.
