Not even Voldemort used it in school (Portraits see everything, so Basilisk was safer because no one would see him controlling it, or survive to tell)

it's unforgivable because for it to actually work, as intended, your intent must be to kill with hatred. Otherwise it won't kill the target. It is why it didn't kill Dumbledore when Snap used it - The fall killed him. But, you know, in the game mechanics and everything - They should have had a morality system for its usage.

@@stuffmcstuff399 the curse did kill Dumbledore. The spell will work if you are intent on the kill, doesn't care if it's from hatred or protection, or in Snape's case, mercy/planned on. You do realize that Dumbledore is capable to reform wandless magic like he did to Harry Potter to soften his fall if he were alive?

@@stuffmcstuff399 but using a glock you have 15 years in prison, and a life sentence for multikill, avada kedavra is a one-target spell that gives you a life sentence in Azkaban when they explain that azkaban is worse than hell because they torture your soul and you can become in an aberration.

@@stuffmcstuff399 the killing curse does kill. it destroys a target's soul; if you hit a horcrux, a human a goblin or anything living, it destroys them by removing the soul. snape did kill dumbledore but the death between them was planned, so it was more of a mercy kill which doesn't count as evil.

I’m almost certain he was trying to kill us during the fight, and don’t understand why his last cast was Crucio rather than the Killing Curse. He was quick to draw a wand on us at the Three Broomsticks in the beginning. Also don’t understand why Officer Singer’s first thought wasn’t disarming him, taking his wand as soon as she arrived on scene.

In a straight fight to the death, which half of these fights are, magic is so stupid lol. A gun is 1000x more effective than a fireball travelling at 20 mph that can be blocked or dodged.

Is a complicated subject. While a bullet sure is faster and easier to fire that the majority of spells (don't know if actually exist one spell faster that a bullet), it can be easily blocked (I think a protego spell casted beforehand would suffice as it can tank other spells like diffindo with the power to break or destroy objects). On the other hand, spells are fast enough to surely hit a target at medium range which is the distance where most duels happen (problem would be casting time, not the speed of the spell). And you can't easily block a spell even less an unforgivable curse (armor don't protect you from a spell effect), and if my memory doesn't fail, in the fifth book harry avoided being killed by an avada kedabra fired by Voldemort only because a massive animated statue received the hit instead of him, and even so the statue was completely destroyed.

​@@demgaming1480You just don't understand the nature of magic in this wizarding world so it obviously doesn't make sense to you duh, what you see on the screen are just for visual aesthetics, some spells if not all can be conjured as fast as the time you press the gun's trigger, and they can do lots of things from blocking the bullet, transforming it, shattering it to fine dust like what Dumbledore did to glass shards when dueling with Voldemort, to inflicting much bigger damages to the opponent like Bombarda spell making a huge explosion to the target or Confringo that does the same thing but with fire, and I just scrape the surface with in game spells only, there's many more spells excluding the unforgivable curses, with larger damages and effectiveness than a regular gun, and basically they can also heal most of injuries caused by again regular gun with potions. And if you think magic is stupid then what can gun do other than shooting someone? Can it defend to keep you maintain on the dueling ground?
