Just 3 minutes before only Chennai Central bound EMU train departed from Avadi to Chennai Central. Our train just trailing behind till Chennai Central. That is why low patronage

Southern Railway is good at making stupid decisions. For crowded routes such as AJJ they use the MEMU very often and for PTMS in which most of the trains run vacant they use 12 cars. Suburban services from Central need a lot of improvement. They are very slow, often halt for crossings compared to the MSB - TBM section. MSB - TBM is way ahead in terms of operational efficiency, speed and frequency. Also they can remove 9 cars and change all the services to 12 car from Central.

Please don"t shout like this. The Cheta management SR will not hesitate to reduce number of EMUs in open and send them to already saturated Nagercoil Trivandrum Kollam Kochin route where already train runs at every 3 minutes duration. The chetas demanding EMU trains also. Unless and otherwise passengers of TN not going to protest and violent mode , no change will happen. For your information, the poisonous VB was toiling passengers in many stations of Kerala with wait for overtake. They now cleverly rearranged the traffic management after protest by chetas.

@@karagis75 It will be in rake sharing with multiple MEMU. Instead of sending empty MEMU to Chennai Central / Arakkonam . It will operate as suburban train service. Once the rotational period ends it will send to respective inspection shed ( Avadi / Tambaram ) for maintenance

@NambiValavan If it is gonna be used as 7.10 fast between MAS and AJJ, then it will always be MEMU only as 7.10 is always a MEMU rake. Atleast they can make 7.10 as 12 car. Very high demand train to return home
