Emin ended up responding to my email today, some 4 days later. Here is what he said: Thanks for your note but I am really disappointed about the situation. I am sure you are aware of the first incident with Cryptoleaks but as a reminder, here is my statement (el33th4x0r.medium.com/my-statement-about-the-crypto-leaks-lies-ef2005da752) about it, which should amply explain why I do not dignify anything they say. Ava Labs and I have an open communications style with plenty of information on various websites as well as podcasts, speaking engagements, appearances on panels and other resources. I would encourage you to review the existing material. As regards the recording, you should not use it. You did not maintain proper journalistic standards, you operated under false pretenses, and you seek to portray Ava Labs and me in a false light. This is a formal request that you do not use anything from the recording. If you do decide to use any portion of it, including the whole recording, please submit to me and the Ava Labs communications team for approval in accordance with normal standards of conduct.

@@martijnardon1 This turned into a gotcha clip after emin's strange behavior. I have no trouble believing him that this is nothing but I have almost no understanding of how he blames Otto. I personally would have asked as well, just out of interest and to give Emin a way to mop the floor with the guys behind the hit piece.

The core ai operator stuff sounds interesting. It’s a shame he ended the interview after being asked about that website article, he def was clearly upset about it.

This is one I have concern with : AI uses a lot of energy and time to evaluate expressions. This means it doesn't appear very scalable ; that said, Avax architecture allows subnets - unless they bring AI in the main chain, it's not really concerning. Also, neural networks are not very good at reproducing the same result from the same input over and over (the same sentence in input will likely result in a slightly different response) and this might be a real problem for contracts.

Could it be that this cryptoleaks site could be linked to CSW ? (see case #3). This really could be the case, if you consider the elements mentioned in Arthur van Pelt's "How They Framed Lawyer Kyle Roche" article. This would also explain the reaction from Emin Gün Sirer (not excuse, but explain).

Yes it may very well be linked to BSV guys from what I've seen, and they do have a axe to grind with Emin. But that doesn't mean the evidence they have presented, in the form of blockchain transaction analysis, is not true. Emin cannot debunk this by simply saying "it's a hatchet job", that is laughable.

@@HaydenOtto Yes, this could be a real problem ; the Avalanche team has to produce the algorithm that is used in their "black-box" proprietary bridge, with a set of on-chain data demonstrating that the bridge really works that way, at the very least ; it wouldn't surprise me that they didn't care much about blacklisted addresses (if such a dataset even existed at the time the bridge was introduced -and even then, a blacklisted addresses list will change over time and there is no way such a list can be reliably kept up to date)...

I'm a bit confused by your questions at the end. If Avalanche is decentralised (as I am sure we all want out of where our personal assets/value is stored in the crypto space), then what is Emin even meant to do about people potentially using it for laundering, so long as the AVAX network is doing what is intended for legit users? Unless you're saying the CryptoLeaks doc is claiming Emin is in on it or something? Mainstream fiat currency and banks is used for god-only-knows what laundering etc anyway. Also, you have to acknowledge that you were grinning through the whole question and build up to it. Doesn't matter if you're pro, anti, or neutral to Emin, you're a reporter and if you want to be a neutral observer, not a pundit, you ought to be neutral.

The bridge in question controlled/operated by his company, so the problem is they were alleged to be actively facilitating those transactions. Sure, probably could have kept my composure better but it was awkward and I did not expect this kind of response from him. Thought he would be willing to give a proper response to it instead of what happened.

I have to say you do come across as someone who was just leading up to that one question. You look very very distracted and spent half your time looking everywhere except the camera. You may want to focus more on you're guests next time. Also after your guest asked you to move on you just kept banging on with the question even though your guest asked you to move on which I feel is quite disrespectful ... the fact you had no other points to bring up after that question made it feel very much like a hit piece so i could see why Emin felt that way as well ... I understand you felt there was a "scoop" to be had here as a reporter but maybe after Emin told you it was a bogus article you should have just moved on.

I am a 1 man operation. When I am looking away from the camera I am monitoring things such as the live stream chat, camera angles, audio levels, and ensuring that the recording is going as expected. I also had notes and articles pulled up on my monitor that I was referring to throughout the interview. I had planned the topics to be discussed with Emin in advance and each had a certain amount of time allocated to it, that would take up 45 minutes time. The last question had 10-15 minutes allocated to it and obviously that was cut short due to Emin's unwillingness to give any answers of substance regarding this issue. His blanket dismissal of on-chain evidence, put forth by multiple other analysts such as Zach XBT, is simply not good enough.

@@HaydenOtto I am neither Emin nor part of his army. I follow number of chains including Avalanche and their communities and the amazing work they do. I also read the article you referenced in its entirety. It is replete with generalizations that is applicable to all bridges. This is nothing but a character assassination on Emin Gun Sirer. Regarding your performance, just watch your own video! Restless hands, constant body movement and nervousness. You could not wait to mention the article. If I had to pay for your performance, I would want my money back.

I don't think there was anything wrong with Dr. Gun's respond. On the other hand I believe he has been very open and accomodating to all of your questions and perhaps your approach particularly at the end was slightly disrespectful. You can watch the ending on your own and look at your grinning along with determination to interrogate. There are many sensitive issues that a person at his position must be careful to comment about and not to dignify with a response. Particularly that "a Bridge" is not an aspect in his control! IT IS DECENTRALISED! You should know that! I read those accusations and they wrote that there were BNB and MATIC and other non ERC20 transferred across. That is simply not possible. You can only bridge Ethereum, BTC and some ERC20 directly to Avalanche chain. What they actually did is that they sold the BNB etc into USDC, Ethereum and BTC then bridged it across. Well that can be done with any chain! You can even use mixers and keep it on Ethereum chain. So I do suggest to be more tactful in your interviews in the future if you really want to have an answer and don't look for sensationalism in order to grow your YT channel mate. All good quality products get attacked by inferior ones with such character assassinations and lies just to get leverage. You are too young to know but there was a time that Apple had to deal with all that scam and degenerate losers who wanted to destroy the great brand or attacking Steve Jobs with similar character assassinations, including Bill Gates and Microsoft but they not only survived but they thrived to be what they are now. p.s. your link to your statement doesn't work.
