Hello, what was the price of this chipper in Estonia? Im want to get Avant and its attachments at some point but its so hard to find prices , makes it harder to decide should i get stand alone chipper now or wait till i get Avant...

In 2023 I paid €2750 for this slightly used one, not sure about current price but 2021 list price was €3387+VAT, but the ballpark should be about the same. You could also get a cheap chinesium hydraulic one and make a Avant attachment mount for it, maybe even convert from PTO drive to hydraulic motor. Hydraulic/electric infeed would speed up the chopping quite a bit though.

is it worth to burn all that fuel to get rid of couple sticks?

Burning ~1 litre of diesel per hour (~10 kWh energy) to get ~1 m³ of wood chips that's ~250 kg and gives ~1000 kWh of heat when burned, I think it's a pretty good tradeoff.

Gravity fed chippers are the worse! Need some hydraulic pulling rollers. thanks for sharing!

Ich glaub das steht nicht im Verhältnis zum Preis, 😉☹️☹️

any arborist knows this is a waste of time for most applications.

It's a good thing that I'm not arborist and I know nothing about how timewasteful this stickchopping is :)

@Tarqwak I am, and I can't believe they even bothered manufacturing this.

@@CivilizedSavage I have a general idea and some parts for making a hydraulic feeder to put between the chute and the chopper, but haven't got around to making it yet. The CH180 model with hydraulic infeed costs like four times as much as this CH100. Even a manual infeed lever contraption would probably speed up the stickchoping considerably.
