This song is about guilt and taking responsibility for any pain you inflict on others even if its unintentional. The video is just one interpretation of guilt (but the song itself is not scenario-specific) where the main character has the job of approving people to be sentenced to death, similar to a death camp scenario although not necessarily depicting any particular country, there are obvious similarities in various ones in recent history. Although this man is not actually killing anyone with his own hands , he is authorising it, and has a part to play in harming others... and you see throughout the video his guilt catches up with him and starts to drive him mad. He is his own Bloody Angel.

A fun one to react to would be the official video to Statue of the King - it's full of humour. Something completely different would be The Dirt I'm Buried in, which is not like any of their other songs, but then all of their songs are different.

This one is the favorite fan's choice. The band always have very cinematic videos! Johan Carlen work wih them since Black Waltz video (2011) and up to now!❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥 This is a song about the NKVD (People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs; later known as KGB), how they sentenced millions to be executed or sent to Siberia to labour camps. "Bloody angel" is a NKVD officer who just approved one death of an "public enemy" after another. And the frontman of Avatar embodies the demon who haunts him in his mind. And ss Johannes Eckerstrom said, ‘Bloody Angel’ is about shame and guilt. You look around and watch all the suffering and while you search for someone or something to blame, you end up in front of a mirror. Everything you touch, you break. Everyone you try to save you hurt and push further away. It is a sad reality of being alive, the fact that the closer you get, the more pain you risk inflicting. You try to stay in the light, spread your wings and aim for the sun. But your eyes and hands are covered in blood and you hit the ground, dragging everything that matters with you. The riff is pretty cool too." Interesting fact: Johan Carlen was inspired by Dogville and Manderlаy by Lars von Trier when building the scenery for the clip. For the first time, the band shoots their play separately. Just on a black backdrop. Yeah continue with Avatar, that's an awesome band, full of surprises, using many different styles. I love them so much ! Thx for the reaction man ! Heavier song from them : Hail the Apocalypse. Others great stuff : Let it burn, blood, Statue of the king, Dance devil dance (very different style), Secret door, Black Waltz... Well you have the choice ^^

Well well well back so soon! The chorus lines you're missing "Pale Battered body, it seems she was struggling" She is partially right with him being a killer. Think Holocaust/similar events. "Trying to exit the program, I've seen enough" The main character here thinks he's doing whats right but he's "haunted by screams" in his nightmares. Johannes Eckerstrom, the lead singer, plays his Sleep Paralysis Demon, trying to show him he can't blame the Demon, the Demon IS the main character. Next question: if you want harder: try Hail The Apocalypse OR Silence in the Age of Apes. If you want more of their spectrum: try Let It Burn or Going Hunting. If you want live: The King Welcomes You to Avatar Country (live at alcatraz) or Puppet Show

Oh, how could I forget!!!! Torn Apart! One of the coolest music videos they've ever done. Johannes sung the song backwards so it would look proper as the whole video is in reverse!

Avatar is a swedish band. Look up what the swedish government did to the Jews during WW2 and it will explain a lot. The dog is a German shepherd = the Germans, the man = swedish government and their immigration workers, the painting = their prime minister from ww2. Its about the swedish governments atrocities.

If you look up the story of the song , they tried to cover up what they did and Avatar made this song and video to call out the swedish government in response to it and caused the swedish people to criticize them into paying reparations to all the families that were denied or poorly treated by swedish parliament.
