All in all, the game is fun if you know what you're going in for. It's a formulaic Ubisoft game through and through, but if that's what you like, then this game can be tons of fun. More than anything, I appreciate Pandora, they did a wonderful job on that end.

I like the little foot notes to the films even if the story doesn't tie in 100% to them. Like their first game detailing some parts that happened before the first film particularly giving life to the 'Hostile natives and attacks' only mentioned and represented by Quaritch and the soldiers in the first film. Now this with Jake being mentioned and the return of the sky people for Way of Water.

I'm glad that we got an open world avatar game I'm so happy. Wish they did that with God of war, or atleast make more sci fi fantasy games like this. Like an open world blade runner game or alien. That'll be epic.

Yeah, I wish there were more open world games like this for a bunch of different franchises - even if they were relatively small. Some shows come to mind eg. Avatar the last airbender, how to train your dragon or maybe just a generic life sim (an actually good one - not just the sims 4 or gta 5 or smth). I think it's just fun to wonder around a different world where anything is possible (such as giant blue alien people with tails)

@@AlejandroGloria-fb8ei absolutely Open world games were fun as a kid. But nowadays they're a time sink. Why do I need kilometers and kilometers of map? If you can make the game more condensed? I preffer a game that goes straight to the point, to the good gameplay and story parts, instead of making me travel and wander around in a (most of the time) practically empty space just to get to the interesting parts. It feels like pure filler just for the sake of making it bigger, but at the price of pacing I've been playing ac valhalla and 80% of the time I'm running around in the snow or fields without actually doing anything interesting. Same happens with most open world games Nothing fun about hundreds of kilometers of empty space. If it's open world, I preffer it small and with content everywhere

I think they are equally fun in their mediocrity. It's weird, I can objectively look at both Avatar movies and KNOW that they are kind of meh. But at the same time, I fully enjoy both movies. They were a blast to watch in theaters. I feel the same way about the game, if that makes any sense. It's a Ubisoft clone, it has all those same beats. But it's fun to me

I had a small issue with the voice acting in with some scenes, and a few instances of cringe particularly with the humies like Alex and Priya. The first time Alex spoke I felt like he was obnoxiously (excited? or whatever emotion that was) explaining his gadgets and junk.

Practice the combat. This game is heavily stealth based, therefore defence will always be lower than attack. You won’t be able to just stand in the open and let them shoot at you while you fight, you’ll die within seconds no matter your level

Okay not even 5 minutes in and I already know what like 90% of this game is referencing or alluding to. The Indian Schools back in the day and even more of representing the Na'vi as "noble savages" for more sympathy and hate for humanity. Which is partially bull because we all know who they are supposed to represent and the series makes them a little too mystical. And native groups don't really live in harmony with nature. There have been many times where they've been as destructive as anyone from Europe or anywhere. I say part of that as someone who has studied the various cultures of the SW and other regions as an archeologist.
