BenchmarKing, I wanted to say I really appreciate how you don't give out your personal opinion on Motion Blur or other post-process FX. I hate when the KZbinr talking about the graphics says ignorant things about these graphical features and orders their audience to turn them off instead of just sticking to relevant information or being impartial. I watch these videos to get technical information, not subjective opinions or impartial agendas against graphical effects. You're killing the benchmark/optimization stuff right now. Good stuff.

Amazing and very detailed video as always. But I want to share a side note for the last part of the video where you tested optimized vs ultra settings. This game has much more intense and performance heavy scenes than it’s benchmark test unfortunately and it doesn’t give you the exact performance values for the worst scenarios in actual gameplay. If I speak about my setup, I was getting a stable +60-70 fps most of the time in the benchmark section but during the gameplay, in some really heavy scenes it dipped to the mid 40’s during gameplay.

Thanks a lot for this video! I personally use an RTX 3090 Ti, but even with such a beast, the game is hard to run at 1440p max settings. I was eager to see your optimization video since they're always the best to retain detail while boosting the frames. I will give them a try whenever the game gets more patches since I feel like it's a bit broken graphics and gameplay wise (as always with Ubisoft....).

I got fed up because in the Plains and Heart of the Plains regions my frames tank and it's so frustrating. But after tweaking the settings to what you recommended I'm running perfectly in every biome/region. Thank you

Thanks for the settings ideas, Ubisoft has its downsides and anti-consumer stuff but when it comes to game optimization they are doing a good job most of the time compared to other companies nowadays, I'm playing at 1440p with Optimized settings and FG on and its around 80-100fps which is great for just a 4060 8GB, smooth experience with great quality.

I think when highlighting issues like smearing of dlss it is important to mention this is an issue with dlss 3 in some games but appears only with fix camera, if you move ever so slightly your camera the smearing totally disappear. You can also go for a swap to dlss 2 as this don't have this effect and since there is no frame gen from dlss3 in this game you don't loose anything by "downgrading"

You know what would be interesting? DOOM Eternal or DOOM 2016. Everyone just cranks those games and doesn't worry about performance, but it would be nice to know what the performance impact of each of the settings actually is, especially when trying to get those titles to run on low end hardware. I maxed everything out, DLSS Quality, Fixed, Frame gen off. Motion blur off and it averages 99 fps on a 4080 with a 1440p monitor. Pretty good optimization imo.

Fantastic work - so no 'shame' running the game on Low - with some tweaks to High - you'd probably not notice anyway. Unlike older games, even in the FarCry series. Having played all the FarCrys , it was FarCry5 i could-not see any difference past Medium settings. I'll probably buy the game now.....Thanks

Quick question: In the main video segment for Environment Reflection Quality, you recommend keeping it at High. However, in the optimized settings recap, you recommend Low.
