Quaritch is still one of the best movie villains that no one seems to talk about anymore. I mean I remember vividly after Avatar came out, that people were so impressed by him that they wanted Stephen Lang to be in almost everything he did such a great job. I mean he’s done a few good things since but his career never quite reached that peak a lot of us expected..

From what I remember, and I haven't seen it in years, Quaritch as a character is as generic as villains come. Sure, Lang is a great actor, but nothing sets the character apart from any other bad guy.

At 4:20 you claim 10 years pass between the two films. It’s well documented that 15 years pass. Even the prequel graphic novel, The High Ground, occurs 14 years later.

Riding a Banshee (or Ikran as the Na’vi call them) is not that same thing as becoming “Toruk Makto” the act of becoming Toruk Makto was riding the Great Leonopteryx (Toruk) and only a handful of Na’vi have done it. That’s what it was so important when Jake was able to do it in the first film…
@Fwaki6 ай бұрын
I agree, Jake was only the 6th toruk makto in Na'vi history, so it should have been highlighted better in this video.

I was confused between this Avatar CGI movie with the animated Avatar show that lead by bald character, Aang, lol. I wonder if there was any lawsuit case over the name since these 2 aren't related

This is a superior movie to the first film in every way. Which personally I wasn't all that invested in. However now things are looking far more like what I expected the first time around but didn't. I was far more invested this time and felt my time wasn't wasted. In fact I think it could have been a bit longer. Which can't believe I'm saying but speaks to the much better narrative & direction of the film. Not to mention it's better performances and use of practical stunt work. You typically don't see in CG heavy films. Which might help explain why it resonated more this time. The problem moving foward here. Is that Avatar 3 won't have the luxury of a 13 year gap. I suspect where it will need to improve is in it's good but not great storyline. Will that be enough to keep auidences engaged in what I see as dismissing returns. As how much more is there to innovate here but never bet against Cameron I guess!! :b

I loved the lore, visuals and culture of the Avatar universe but I was not at all impressed at the plot. “Sci-fi Pocahontas” was far from an original tale and my expectations going into this are very low in terms of story. I just want good presentation and premise.

Ik that this trope has been used a lot but I can’t think of any other movies at the moment with the sci-if-hantus plot and I would like to do research on them. Also I saw the movie Thursday and just got back from it again today. It’s a long one 😂

Considering what you see of it in the Cameron cut you know the one before Fox forced them to cut 45 minutes of footage because “no one is going to watch a 3-hour movie” Jake's apartment was practically a prison cell. 2:36 The streets looked straight out of Blade Runner except with everyone crammed together like a Japanese subway at rush hour. 1:46 So no, I don't think anyone would have missed that he'll hole.

Gotta wonder if the humans have Nukes in this timeline… and why don’t they just nuke the Navi??? Unobtanium is a mineral, so it shouldn’t be affected by some nukes, right??? Or if it is, why don’t the RDA just launch some asteroids on Pandora? That’s what they should do in avatar 3.
@Rainbowhawk19932 жыл бұрын
In the Lore, there’s an agreement that prohibits the RDA to have WMDs.
