I STILL look back at the battle to get to the Earth King's chambers as some of THE BEST bending battles in this show. It really shows Team Avatar as a very, very well-oiled machine at this point. It's so fun and amazing. Including the "SORRY!" calls as they take down the soldiers they really don't want to have to be taking down. :D

To break it down, the physical movements of Water Bending is based on Tai Chi, Earth Bending is based on Hung Ga Kung Fu, Fire Bending is Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, and Air Bending is Baguazhang. As for Toph's specific basis, her blindness and unique way of learning Earth Bending is shown through her style being based on Chu Gar style Southern Praying Mantis Kung Fu.

There seriously does need to be a good avatar mmropg. The world is so big and so diverse, there would be enough places and areas for stories to take place in. People could choose a nation and then a subsect of a nation where they can learn specific styles of bending ( eg. (including bot not limited to) Sandbending for earthbendes, Foggy swamp style for waterebenders). They could even give you the choice to be a non-bender and have specific weapons from your area.
