Fantastic narration. Congrats Sir. I have a solution for Purification of Coovum Saakadai river: 1) PHASE ONE: On either side of Coovum river, build 10 feet tall compound walls. 2) PHASE TWO: Build Water level controllers to regulate / control the quantity of water at the origin of coovum river near red hills. 3)PHASE THREE: At the origin of coovum river near Red Hills, dig a vertical hole to reach ground level & from there connect it to an Horizontal hole connecting to the Ocean. Ocean water will rush from Red Hills PURIFYING COOVUM River. Thus the continous movement of ocean water will purify Coovum😊

It is nice to know of the old association of both Chenna Malleswarar and Chenna Kesava Perumal temples(CMK) with the evolution of Chennai City. These temples were really ancient and were horiginally situated in the present HighCourt complex. Even the Gods had to give way and move to the (then) inner part of Black Town. The Devasthanams of the CMK temples run a free hostel for more than a hundred students just opposite to Guindy station. I am a great full beneficiary of this trust in the late forties that helped me and my family to move forward. There was no caste distinction in CMK and had a good spread of Telugu speaking students. Another Free Hostel was the famous Rama Krishna Home in Mylapore. Both have helped scores of students to study in Chennai ; the only other institution in TamilNadu then that offered higher education in Hons and Master’s level was St Joseph College,Trichy! For me, Chennai doesn’t make sense without the timely help from CMK from 1948 to 1951.
