maybe he means new problems and biomes (ofc) that arise but add to the complexity of both pandora and the plot and ties the whole thing together without feeling forced or thrown out of nowhere? I don't know, just a guess 🤔 Nonetheless, the amount of Avatar 3 content that we're getting all of a sudden is super exciting!

I think James Cameron is literally addressing the naysayers who complain that the Avatar films are "too simple" or "boring"--as if that was ever the case! He's basically saying that the first two films had a lot of work to do, what with introducing the characters, establishing the world, and setting the stage. Now the movies can take those ideas and settings and go wild with them--introducing more complex character motivations, crazier environments, and more unexpected twists and turns. I, for one, am excited to see what James Cameron has in store for us! 😊

I believe it will be May when we get a teaser trailer since the first trailer for avatar way of water came out in may. I also really hope they release both avatar 1 and 2 in theaters like they did before avatar 2.

My thoughts are is that there could be a moment where both lo'ak and tsireya are having a moment and kiss and they get caught by their parents which led to a big argument and ronal tell her daughter if she chose lo'ak she can never be tsahik but in the end tsireya chose to stay with lo'ak something like the delete scene from the first avatar movie

Thought the mate of the future Olo'eyktan (aonung?) would become tsahik? Since we see that Neytiri didn’t become tsahik even though she was the only surviving child. (Unless they can choose)

All of this is getting is getting me hyped for the sequel. And your going to have a lot of work to do Avatar theory if they talk of Avatar 3 every month. I'm just theorizing that maybe the teaser trailer will come out in may like the way of water one

Yes! I'm so happy that A3 will also be 3+ hours long. Lot's of time to build more into each character, explore biomes, and delve deep into the plot 💙 Also, since this interview was from December and he mentioned they were still doing shots, are they probably finished filming by now?

I'm trying to think of what the hard-left-turn will be In Avatar Fire and Ash. Maybe we find out that Eywa is not a benevolent entity after all, and is halting the Navi's evolution? Or perhaps Jake Sully gets killed in this one. Or thinking completely outside the box, maybe Tom Sully shows up as a recombinant.

With Eywa's rules, the entity absolutely slowed / halted development of the Na'Vi. For good. They live happy, healthy, in a, world allowing them to do many things, even long distance travel by nature. Earth in Avatar (and thus is a highly realistic fiction) is the best prove, for that way. But maybe, that is the reason for the ash clan, opposing. Or they find ruins from an old space - faring Navi history, where they almost killed the planet... Earth in Avatar would need Eywa to survive, but I do guess, this is 4th, 5th movie, stuff. Still... Maybe Eywa changes, she has now not only her plant superintelligent Q-like consciousness, and saved Na'Vi souls, but several human souls too. Loads of knew cultural knowledge. Maybe, her rule will change. You could do somewhat ecoloigal mining... And I do think many humans, maybe even Ardmore and Quaritch will at least somewhat learn "coop is better than war", while surely some extremists, some criminals nay remain. Wondering we will see a hmmm.... Sarentu. And, some of the clans, landscapes of the game.

I love great story telling. I don't want him to cut stuff anymore and if there are deleted scenes they better be in the DVD special features. I love watching the behind the scenes. Don't care if some stuff is repetition. 😂 Im sure quarich and varang are going team up. I don't believevnaytiri is going to join the mangqwan clan either but if you have to go under cover to save your kids... because some of them do get captured again. No main character deaths unless they bad guys. But varang is on a whole new level of evil. You can smell crazy on her. And because of her brutality and ruthless, I'm think she's going to go too far on something that will make quarich turn on her and do the right thing.

I’ve been saying it for 2 years now in order for Avatar 3 to be successful it has to flip the entire series on its head. 4 thins need to happen. 1. Good Humans being attacked by Evil Navi dynamic. 2. The family goes through a split. Neytiri and Jake can’t come to an agreement leading to a heartbreaker split (Divorce) half the kids goes with each parent or all goes with one. 3. The evil Navi clan IS not influence working for or need any help from the humans. They are a legit antagonist party in the story. 4. A major catastrophic event needs to happen at the end of 3, thanos snapped type level where nothing will be the same again. Sounds like me and James Cameron are on the same page. If he does these 4 things, Avatar will stay fresh, engaging and exciting. My theories for 4 and 5 are even crazier. I always felt Avatar 2 was just a introduction to our characters and Avatar 3 is where we will really start twisting the knife of the story and so on.
