For those that are trying to add an extension number (quick contact) to the phones home screen. You can do this on the phone itself (as well as the software on your computer). First you need to go into your contacts (picture of man button), then find the person within your contacts you want to have on your phones home screen (or make a new contact if they are not already in there) and turn them into a quick contact by pressing "Details" then "+Contact". They will now be a quick contact. Go back to the very start home screen and hold down the button where you want their name to go and press "Add" then "contact", then you will notice the person you just made a quick contact will now be an available option you can select. I hope this helps others as none of the instructions I found online or KZbin told anyone this.

I just recently changed out a 9408 digital set to a J169 Set, the customer used the directory and next button which enables users to search within the PBX for end users. I noticed that the SIP phones within the programming do not offer these buttons anymore. I know that you can add contacts and search there but we are in a hybrid of digital and SIP phones. Any ideas or work arounds? Thanks,
