Director Danny Boyle sat down with our staff film critic Ignatiy Vishnevetsky to discuss his newest film, T2 Trainspotting. In the interview, Boyle talks about the original Trainspotting, his hesitancy to make the sequel too early, and how nostalgia influenced the film’s story.

I'm Scottish and have lived in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, the Highlands and spent a lot of time in Glasgow and honestly, there isn't a great deal of personal dislike of the english. A lot of Scottish people hate the tories and their perpetual government, but that is a different thing. You are quite safe being English in Scotland, honest!

20 years is clearly 1/4 of your life. Interesting to see how much some has changed over only 20 years. But both films are very good and I felt like we never had forgotten these characters! And I’m 62 years old. A third sequel well! Do the math

Please, dear actors and directors, keep on doing interviews as long as you don't expose your misunderstanding of what EU really is. It's a shame that you speak about Brexiters as if they were uninformed, uneducated, unable to understand what's happening to their lives because of that dictatorial federal supra-government in the hand of the financial power.
