I got remarried in May of this year. I wasn’t sure what I wanted as my entrance song. Two weeks before the wedding, I heard this piece for the first time and knew my Mother, who is in Heaven, sent it to me. She couldn’t be there physically, so gave me the gift of this song. Ave Maria when performed can't help but send emotional feelings to your inner being. It takes you on a journey, and I believe that journey leads directly to Jesus. Violin has to be my favorite string instrument. They say it's sound is close to the human voice. Piano arpeggios work so well with the melodic lines. Your facial expressions show so much sincerity in your presentation.

I adore both pieces! But I prefer to hear them separately. I had Gounod's Ave Maria played/sung at my wedding (full nuptial mass) in the 60's. Today I am enjoying a return to piano playing and classical music. The highlight is learning Bach's Prelude 1 in C Major. The divine sound of the music comes through the piano. It doesn't need any embleshment That is a very personal opinion!. Thanks to Bach and Guonod for their beautiful music.
