I actually prefer this type of singing compared to full-on opera/operatic singing. I think a highly trained classical singer like Lauren is so much more pleasant to listen to.
@bii-like-bee3 жыл бұрын
I’m confused by what you mean. It’s fine if you prefer this of course but professional opera singers are highly trained classical singers- it takes much more training to sing operatically than in this style
@kma36473 жыл бұрын
I agree aesthetically. I tend to hear opera as a bit of vocal peacockery since it comes out of a European tradition where the bella prima donna singing this type of aria would've been the A-list celebrity of their era. They wanted to put their own stamp on the piece, show off a bit, and make a name for themselves. Technically, the opera is often significantly harder to sing, and I appreciate that, even if I don't necessary like hearing it as much as something simpler and more pure.
@undead.rising3 жыл бұрын
@@bii-like-bee I know there is more training involved, and it definitely requires the utmost control of one's voice, but sometimes their voices become so "full on" that it stops being *nice* to listen to. This hymn, to me, needs to be nice, and it can be done that way by opera singers, but most of the time, when done like this instead, it is preferable to me.
@bii-like-bee3 жыл бұрын
@@undead.rising I understand what you mean now- I was just confused by the wording of your original comment because it made it seem like opera singers are not highly trained :)

There is absolutely no way Ave Maria can sound better after listening to Pavaroti sing it, then listens to this & realizes there is NO competition!! Lauren Paley blows it out of the universe!! Gorgeous song sung by a gorgeous woman with a gorgeous voice.

This particular song takes me back to when I was younger, my father used to play this song often. It's a beautiful melody and I love that you recreated this. It's like a treasure within itself. Might listen to this when I'm feeling anxious. Thank you, Lauren~

I love the cathedral idea!! I'm not sure if you're religious but Mother Mary must have been heard as you sang

I stop singing 14 years ago. But since I found you on KZbin, you inspire to sing again. Hopefully, one day I will sing like you. You made day.

I am not sure if she realized this, but by her singing that prayer, Heaven poured out an abundance of God's blessings and grace into every corner of that building. Amen.

She is so gifted! Her voice is angelic. I imagine all her neighbors secretly gather to hear the concert every time she goes to the stairwell
