my bad for the choppy video. I was streaming on KZbin and Twitch at the same time. I'm trying something different this year.

Timbo's ep was lazy. The beat wasn't terrible but it was generic. He could've at least dropped the needle and tried to skim thru the record. Especially since he wasn't gonna use all 3 records like producers used to do on Mass Appeal. If this is the best that Timbaland can do right now, he's a shell of his former self. In the 90's into the 00's he was making music that put him up there with the greatest producers in hip-hop, pop and R&B. This sounds like some typical trap BS that would do well now. He needs to call Missy so she can inspire and motivate him again. 😂

I'm skeptical as sh*t that Timbo didn't already know this record back to front. "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" is not exactly an obscure title or vocal and the track he sampled has been remade a few times and sampled before, As a producer of his stature who's definitely old enough to have come across it while digging, it just doesn't add up.
@AveMcree13 сағат бұрын
He did say earlier in the video that he knew the artist.
@staticbrown45 минут бұрын
For context I'm 23 years old and I know this gil Scott sample, listened to the album front to back. It's kind of hard to believe that a producer who's been doing this for decades is oblivious to one of the most iconic songs and samples
@chaseboogie355910 сағат бұрын
This cant be real. He was listening to the song like he never heard it before. Come on, theres no way you never heard that. It was sampled by Kanye over 20 yrs ago and others sampled it too. And thats the only song he listened to. Thats not Rythm roulette. The next episode with the keyboard player and his son was one of the best.

Yo me being a producer who has actually did Rhythm Roulette we really do have to pick out real records no faking it at least when I did it but Timbo come on bruh lol he definitely trashy for this flaw episode then he uses a Kanye sample to make himself look even worse

He's goated in the pop industry not the real hiphop... His music always sounded pop, unlike real hiphop producers

Timberland gave the sample a good bounce pretty different cause most would go for more of a boom bap vibe with drums

Maybe he had a bad day but the man’s catalog speaks for itself. I personally don’t think the beat is trash. That shit sounds dope I don’t know. That sample sounds totally different from Kanye version isn’t that the point?

David Banner & Jazzy Jeff by far the best ones

Timbo made way better beats on his own channel live. He's big on drums and bass. He didn't even add bass to this beat. People are acting like he tried his best. He didn't.

I think Mannie Fresh, Big KRIT, and David Banner created some dope tracks on Rhythm Roulette.

This beat is hard !!! It's typical for producers to hate everything they didn't make. That's normal. But this is a Good beat. But to each .........
@Official360Сағат бұрын
Timbaland has a slight track record for "stretching the truth". I remember when he lied in interviews about the "custom, secret sounds" he used for Aaliyah 's records & that was debunked years lateras being stock Yamaha/E-Mu sounds 😂
@beatsbyloony41916 сағат бұрын
beat wasnt to bad i can hear jack harlow or somebody different on it, i wouldve loved to hear him flipped the other records, and also we need Ave on the show lol

I listened to all those albums. That Future Islands didn't have no dirt. If it was for doing an Electronica remake version of any of those songs is a maybe but nothing funky or soulful on that disk. But Jerry Garcia got some things in it but you gotta listen for it. GILL SCOTT HERRING is automatically a target. But seriously, looping I myself would not do but slice n dice to reinvent it.

Kanye West better Timbaland needs to actually play piano on keys and not use so many samples and no return out just right I can make a replica of that just by hearing how he did this song and do it better than him because I’ve been playing for 25 years in church nothing hard and plus I sing too I will rip it up. Easy easy. I am the type of guy put me in the studio with him with my MPC 61 key for all the sounds. I needed available now tear his behind up in two minutes.
