Hey thanks on the advise on upgrading my maschine mk3 to a maschine standalone vs upgrading laptop..I just got asus rog punk edition with 16 gb ram and 2 tb ssd...thing is a beast it takes anything I'm giving it from komplete 12 and all my vsts... Keep up all you do... much love..

cool vid, yeh i like it.. it;s does synthetic drum sounds like from 808,909,606, cr78, dr55, or a monosynth or analogue modular really quite well. I don't have a mashine+ "drum synth" would be interesting to see a comparison. it's not going to synthesis 'realistic drums' like say from a roland TD 30 where you specify wood/metal shell types, shell depth head types, kick beater types wood, plastic, felt, cymbal dimensions, holes rivets.. to number/type of snares types of stick used like their weight and tip type.... ( i have aa Td30 btw) as an upgrade for MPC/Force it's really nice.

Three things I like about the Drum Synth: 1) You can choose a parameter to control via velocity. 2) The sounds are modelled so the parameters available pertain specifically to the drum sounds rather than general synth parameters which may not be as applicable. 3) This is important when writing automation. You can manipulate the sounds in musical ways and make your beat breathe in ways that would be hard or impossible with standard sample manipulation.

Drum synth is some hacked together BS. Lack of mutes, chokes, and that crazy bs send and mixer setup is a joke. Also is gaslighting their users with these updates no one is invested in.
