One of those A7X I've listened to many many times .Really loved their sound during this time period of hits .Love how they pick it up as they go .We feel like mice on a wheel enslaved but we are still here .And yes I feel the "Classic"A7X sound your are referring too. I also get the Metallica vibe in that one hard axe grinding part of the song .And in Sanitarium the lyrics even talk about his dream being his reality and they keep him locked up in his cage .One for sure from Metallica had some of the best guitar riffs double bass drum kicks in the second half of the video and so many deep meanings behind the song and video .The buried alive title kind of reminds me of what the soldier was going through in One in some ways .

The whole album is a tribute to their late drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. The video for So Far Away is their main tribute to The Rev. Fiction is the last song The Rev ever wrote. You can find something about The Rev in a lot of songs on this album. Welcome to the Family, Dangerline, and Natural Born Killers are other great songs from this album. My 2nd fav A7X album behind their self titled masterpiece. Metallica, Pantera, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden, and Pink Floyd are some of their biggest influences. Yes, even Pink Floyd. They have gotten heavily in to prog music in the last 2 albums. The last album is very experimental. Not my cup of tea, but I give them credit for trying new stuff.

This is my favourite era of A7x, to me it’s more melodic and less manic; almost relaxing! It’s not my favourite song of theirs (mine is Bat Country); but it’s still a great song! Enjoyed your reaction and analysis as always!
