This is what metal music needs. Experimentation, strange shit, new atmospheres, pushing boundaries, many styles combining together. Absolutely LOVE this track, Avenged Sevenfold became one of the most interesting metalcore bands off of the 2000s for me. Can't wait for the album.

I mean it's refreshing to see that they are doing completely different experimentation. Typical verse/chorus pattern is getting pretty boring tbh.
@Alessandbro7 Жыл бұрын
It's clear that now more than ever, they want their music to send a message more so than to be a hit. I like that personally. It would be so simple for them to just cut and paste some radio hits but they continue to break the mold with every release. I know that a lot of fans are going to be upset at these releases, and likely this album as a whole, but I can really respect trying to put some deeper meaning behind your music rather than just doing it to make money. This band really speaks to me in a profound way. I think that A7X has been releasing music that is more directed to people who can appreciate the musicality and originality of each individual aspect of their creation. One of the other comments had stated that they don't need opportunity in order to succeed anymore, and i think that's very much correct. Matt had tweeted that they are making music for the sake of music, not so that they can plaster the title of "metal band" on their placard; and this album really shows that he means that. It's different, it's not for everyone, but the musical talent is explosive.

Every time he says "more", I think of myself scrolling through Instagram Reels, watching people repeat trends to get more and more engagement, more views, more likes, more, more, more... People talking about how to make money, build something, be someone, be better than the rest. Algorithms dictating how things are while everyone says they love you because you're unique... while the music changes completely every minute like a Tik Tok video. Music is art and art also serves to provoke.

Matt did say that he and Syn had a lot of experiences with psychedelics when making the album and it definitely translates to both the lyrics and music especially when you consider the overall lyrical theme of the album as a whole, which is humanity and in this song in particular, ADHD and what people who have it go through in their minds on a daily basis thus explaining why it's all over the place like something System Of A Down or even Mr. Bungle would write.

Honestly I think their last album was their best (imo), glad to see they're continuing their weird exploration on this new one as well. Can't wait for the whole thing to come out

I like this song in a lot of places, especially the acoustic part at the end. The video matches perfectly and i like that Avenged is writing songs that kinda grow on you, like Nobody and this one it takes a few times to listen to it rather than having to think about how to express your feelings on the songs. I am hyped for the rest of the album

Saw them perform both new songs at Rockville festival in Daytona a few days ago. They’re great live and Matt sounds amazing so expect more screams on the rest of the album :)

This song is like a summary of their music journey, and the last part of 'We Love You' from Matt until the end sounds like an appreciation for their fans❤

The vibes I get from the new album are the same vibes I got listening to Deloused in the Comatorium the first time by The Mars Volta. There is a lot that will seem unnecessarily proggy until you unpack the true meaning then it will all make sense and enhance the listening experience! Really curious how the disjointed vocals in the beginning will play out in the overall story!

I originally wasn't a fan of Nobody but it and this song grew on me. I don't know when A7X became Post/Prog but I'm digging it. Once again a band is coming back strong and killing it with a whole new sound and I'm happy for it. This song is the most psychedelic experience since Pink Floyd's Echoes.

You know what vibe this song does gives me? Weird and confused. And you know what can I compares this song's vibe with? Warnings. Not just normal warnings, but like prophetical warnings. It's like, at the normal stage, people would deem it as weird, just like me. Other people will be annoyed by it, or even get angry by it, well.. most people do. Oh, and some of them might started to attack. And in actuality, this song delivers it just like it is. Because the lyrics contains warning messages. It matches it very well. Because you can't deliver such messages with a cookie-cutter type of music with catchy reffs like we usually hears. They would just enjoy the music, disregarding lyrics. Or they might look up on the lyrics and actually understand it, just to then move on with their lives and soon forgets about it and finally consider it as "just another song" like everything else. That's what people does in general. And this song deliverance is apparently not in the way that they have to accept it right away, they need to -amidst the confusion- put their mind into it to understand, and in most cases people just straight up ignores it. They did well with it! Well done A7x🔥

The fact that this song, and the whole album was LITERALLY inspired by Matt and Syn smoking 5-meo DMT is both believable, and unfathomable at the same time. Im not making that up😂

Felt like a fever dream and then you wake up, but you wake up in the dream and you cant escape. Then your alarm rings and you turn it off, BUT it wasn't your real alarm your still in a dream. Then you wake up for real and you hear a party downstairs and when you go downstairs there's no one there and then you wake up in your bed again all sweaty and all cloudy in the head. Then you feel a cool breeze from the opened window and a warm safe feeling creeps over you and you fall asleep again peacefully.

This is why I love them and have always stuck up for them even through HTTK. I knew Matt’s and the rest of the band’s gamer side would take over and he’d want to do some exploring of the limits of their writing
