I don't even think that was a divebomb, divebomb are used by plucking the string really hard with your fingers. Syn is just picking the string and pulling the bar down and up.

You can’t really play these kinds of riffs with that much distortion. Even with a crazy tight noise gate, it just wouldn’t work. There would be too much mud and it would sound really bad. When they play live, it works differently because you can’t hear the nuances and palm mutes.

GerudoBurrito i do it on 9th to 10th fret on the D and G string the dive part, then when you pull up you use all 4 lower strings then on the highest pitch part where you do the vibrato do dive back down only use the G,B,and E strings. sounds awsome when i do it :b i might upload a vid for just that dive bomb when i get my guitar back..

No its a palm mute, I know how to play the song. So in that part you palm mute and alternate pick (or tremolo if you want to use that one) Then you do a barre chord on 3 and go back to the palm mute. That's what both Syn and Zacky do.

A Palm mute is a single note being muted by your palm, while palm muting is a sequence of notes being muted by your palm, and palm mutes are multiple notes muted by your palm, i mean jeese the hardest thing for me is my incessant love of calling pinch harmonics "squealies", don't know why i just do. Also me and my lead guitarist have argued in the past on pronouncing harmonics like "harm-on-ics" or like "harmanics" So i mean i thought that would be more chastised here, but i guess not.

It depends on how you say the sentence, you wouldn't say "i started palm mute the notes" right? and you wouldn't say "Palm muting those notes" You should say " I started palm muting the notes" or "Palm mute those notes" not that grammer really matters for us guitarists. :)

I'm 99.9 percent sure these notes are right, up to you on how to play them. v= vibrato From the bottom down this is the order of the notes First phrase high e 17v g 12 14 15 b 13 14 15 e 12 13 15 16v Second phrase g 10 13 14 b 11 11 13 14( he speeds up a little bit and plays a little faster at the start of the sextuplet, slow it down and listen and you'll hear every time) high e 10 13 14 15
