It's moments like these that make you guys so great as a band and makes me proud to be a fan amd consider you my favorite band. The set was done, you weren't supposed to play another song. But a little boy wanted to hear So Far Away, so you say you'll do the first verse. And you just end up doing the whole song anyway just for him. Another example, I went to Philly to see you guys with Metallica and Volbeat. And I love both Metallica and Volbeat but went to see you. And you guys had to cancel cause of Brian's wife going into labor. Most bands you'd see would just have a tech replace a band mate if they can't do it, but you didn't. The entire band went with him to be there for his wife instead of just continueing on without him. That is why in my opinion, you guys are the greatest band alive today.

Sometimes simple works. Gates is a pro player, he knows when to rip and he knows when to let it lay low. A nearly perfect band in my view. I grew up watching gigs in the 1980s, the shit that inspired A7X, these guys are doing it right, I stand behind them every day.

Just heard this song last year about 2 months before my best friend's wife passed. I hadn't spoken with him in over 4 years (friends since 1974) over some extreme BS that was totally my own fault. It took his wife passing to bring us back. The lyrics of this art spoke and still speak to me about our friendship and the siht we endured throughout the years. Much respect to a7x.

Well, for their standard i think "So Far Away" is actually an easy song to play in acoustic, even the original version uses the acoustic guitar. All they did here was just swapped syn's guitar, hence why he played a little awkwardly. I'd be really blown away if they'd figured out an acoustic version of beast and the harlot. lol

"When I have so much to say, you are so far away". This is probably the most painful line in a song. I recently lost my friend with whom I had a fight, I stopped talking to him even though he kept trying to mend the holes, and he went to the heavens after a few months. Everyday I wake up with this guilt of not speaking with him and the fact that I will never be able to just kills me from within. Guys, never hold a grudge, communicate and sort things out, you never know when a temporary resentment might turn into a lifelong regret.

I used to think of this song as a beautiful tribute to their friend the Rev, it had no personal meaning until recently... I lost my best friend, whose broken heart I tried to heal with all that i could, about 2 months ago. Besides being my best friend who could see me and love me the way I was, and help me no matter how broken he was, he was also somehow my hope, my love and he died not knowing (I think) what he truly meant to me and how much I loved him, I tried to show him wihout words because I couldn't say it for a stupid pride. To this day I keep discovering that I also meant something important to him... Our last conversation was like this, I stopped talking to him because I was upset with something so silly... The next day, he did it. So it's real, the lines "And the light you left remains but it's so hard to stay, when I have so much to say and you're so far away" hurt and I can't stop crying when I listen to this song. This is undoubtedly my biggest regret and will be, like you said, lifelong.

1:09 Never feared for anything Never shamed but never free A light that healed the broken heart With all that it could Lived a life so endlessly Saw beyond what others see I tried to heal your broken heart With all that I could Will you stay? Will you stay away forever? How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Plans of what our futures hold Foolish lies of growing old It seems we're so invincible The truth is so cold A final song, a last request A perfect chapter laid at rest Now and then I try to find A place in my mind Where you can stay You can stay awake forever How do I live without the ones I love? Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned Place and time always on my mind I have so much to say but you're so far away Sleep tight I'm not afraid (not afraid) The ones that we love are here with me Lay away a place for me (place for me) 'Cause as soon as I'm done I'll be on my way To live eternally How do I live without the ones I love?
