I think Brooks is extremely happy to have made the choice and given the opportunity to join and be apart of Sevenfold, especially at a great time like this. They have had so many exciting stuff planned and for brooks this must be a dream come true. Yes he was in bad religion but Sevenfold are taking things too a new level and have no limits and he gets to join the ride and just in one years he’s been a part of some amazing experiences and even more experiences behind the scenes that we haven’t been able to see. And we can all see how Sevenfold enjoys having him around as well. And the Rev is looking down at this amazing thing he helped create and is so happy to see how far its come. Rip Rev, and long live Sevenfold, the greatest band on the entire planet.

Bad Religion was definitely holding him back. How long can someone play simple ass punk beats when they are a world class drummer deep down? I'm sure he felt like he was in a dead end gig, both musically, aaannd financially. Now he's got all the creative freedom in the world, and as a side perk, he's making fucking BANK. But yea, his unique and totally original playing is insanely similar to the Rev's. If an afterlife exists, and the Rev is seeing this, I'm sure he would approve of Brooks taking his place.

I started playing guitar because of A7X. I love listening to their music. But at the same time, I play a lot of acoustic and fingerstyle music. So, I'm a very happy person when I get to see their first ever acoustic session. My life is now complete. Can't wait to see more. 😄

"We've never played this before...no manager...no cheating? Uh... OK." Fucking nailed it anyways, perfect, sounded just like it was on an album.

This was a lot better than the album version. Shadows really poured his soul into this performance. The string section and Gates' harmonies really complimented his dedication. And the band as a whole, along with Brian Haner I and the string section, really stuck together, as if they were sharing the same brain. Even though this was freaking flawless, they didn't leave their modesty and humility at home. Respect.
@Glace12216 жыл бұрын
mrknockknock1 you know what? Yeah, I like it more than the album version. Sounds more natural and classic with no unnatural cuts and no electric guitar. It sounds less manufactured and recorded, and more like a band of bards telling the story of a great Roman general.

As the embers rose through the Roman Sky Tell me, were you calm when they took your life? Just before you go, tell us how the heavens flow Weightless evermore, as you walk beyond that door Shine forever true Shared with us the world well before your time Though they took your voice, words forever shine, yeah Just before you go, tell us how the heavens flow Weightless evermore, as you walk beyond that door Shine forever true As they spoke your fate, a fearless man replied "As you will sentence me, your fear is beyond mine, yeah" Just before you go, tell us how the heavens flow Weightless evermore, as you walk beyond that door Shine forever true

This song is about Giordano Bruno who was burned at the stake in 1600 in Rome for heresy. He was the first to claim that the universe was infinite, and the stars were actually suns with their own planets. He claimed that there was a huge possibility that these planets fostered life. In essence, he was a martyr for truth.

This performance is spectacular. Been a long time fan, saw them once at Ozzfest in Seattle (Auburn) in 2006. I was a huge fan of Sounding the 7th Trumpet and Waking the Fallen, and was not an initial fan of anything after that. I guess as I've gotten older it has started to grow on me. This is my first time hearing this song and I love it.

Brooks Wackerman fits in this incredibly. Since Rev's passing, he's facilitated the growth of the entire band, how I imagine Rev would have. Kudos to Brooks for schooling me when he was 14, and I was 15, on that Bad 4 Good CD. I was thinking I was good for my age until I heard that! Glad to see him in a situation where he can stretch out a bit.

I agree, no one can replace the rev and i love Brooks for bringing his own style to the band, and never trying to mimmic Jimmy. He always plays the songs the way Jimmy made them, and doesnt twist them or add to it. I respect him so much for that.
