This entire scene was heartbreaking. Tony feeling immense guilt about losing Peter. Then asking Cap if Pepper is still around. Pepper was probably the only thing that kept him in survival mode for the weeks he drifted in space. Then you have Rocket comforting Nebula because he pretty much has nothing on Earth and lost his whole team, and Nebula having lost her sister.

The "maybe I am" line is so underrated. I used to hate the build a bear line because it felt too "quipy" in such a serious moment but it really illustrates how hurt Rocket is. He normally starts screaming or physically assaulting anyone whom he thinks is making fun of his appearance or species. This has been a constant reaction from him, throughout all the movies. But the Build A Bear line shows in this moment that Rocket is truly devastated and in no mood to argue or yell. He's just completely and utterly broken.

@ He doesn’t even know what that is he doesn’t even know what creature he is that’s why he says “maybe I am.” He finds being called a Racoon offensive at one point, too. I’m not saying that it did not cause him to not say much, but he doesn’t know so, that doesn’t really hurt him. It’s just the fact that he’s sad that he doesn’t snark back, but he doesn’t even think it’s a taunt (and it really isn’t). He’d try to shout and scream angrily if you even called him a racoon, which is what he is, so, yes, he was depressed. That moment of Nebula and Rocket made me think, these two are/were probably some of the most emotionally damaged, closed off, abused characters in the entire MCU. They didn't grow up on love, they grew up tortured, physically experimented on and physically tortured, emotionally and mentally torn down, constantly compared to others, constantly having to fight tooth and nail to survive or get some type of approval out of someone else so that they didn't go through more pain, constantly wondering if they're good enough. This made them closed off, afraid to get close, afraid to let people in, afraid to be vulnerable. But here they are, finding solace in each other, mourning the ones who were the first to give them love, give them support, give them a family. Especially with Nebula being the first to reach out and offer real hand holding, something she's still new with cause she didn't have much experience with things of that nature.

Ahhhh, I can see a REALLY bad scenario happening. Tony goes through with the "I see a suit of armor around the world" Idea, and basically enslaves the world so it can be safe from another threat like Thanos. So, imagine a "Injustice Superman" except it's Tony Stark

However, the actress' acting was quite shitty in this scene, especially compared to RDJ. I mean, I don't believe in her emotions here - her beloved husband has just basically returned from dead right in front of her. Should have cried a little at least.

Out of all the trauma and near-death experiences Tony had through-out his life and time as Ironman, being abducted, injured, tortured, almost dying in space, in Sokovia, losing the Avengers, etc, out of all that crap he had to endure, the one that finally broke him enough to make him retire was losing Peter says how much he actually cared about the kid.

Got to say everytime I rewatch this movie and it cuts to the inside with Tony getting healed he always reminds me of my elementary school band teacher. The haircut, the mustache and the glasses all very like my old band teacher, and everytime I see it, it makes me miss playing in band more and more

At the Oscars, the award for the best performance of a scene played by a completely realistic actor should have been given to Robert Downey Jr., for his very beautiful and emotional performance in the death scene of Tony Stark, in such a way that all people in all countries, even those who speak Not knowing English, they were moved by emotions and tears. He conveyed emotions and reality to all the people of the world with his beautiful acting, which could not be conveyed in any language except the very beautiful acting of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.

“Couldn’t stop him.” “Neither could I.” Love this small exchange after these two haven’t seen each other in two years. After they both bloodied each other badly at the end of Civil War. Steve still rushes to help Tony off the ship despite what they both did to each other, proving he still cares for Tony no matter what. Tony is feeling immense guilt over his failure to stop Thanos, but Steve brings up his own failure to stop the Mad Titan. Letting Tony know it wasn’t just him who failed to stop the Snap, but all of them. Once again great scene. Especially for the MCU.

My favorite part of this is when Cap says "We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now... deep space scans... satellites, nothin'" Like he tried to come up with a second thing after "deep space scans" but wasn't tech-savvy enough so he just ended it with "satellites," which is so hilariously arbitrary next to "deep space scans."
