Tony was right, he did have his second chance. He would have lived happily with his wife and daughter, and he would be there for his child unlike his. He knew if he did save the world, the chances are he wont come back along with others, or something worse would have happened. Him being a real hero and participating and erasing Thano's army was the biggest sacrifice. He knew he would die, but he did it for everyone on earth. He avanged it.

I really hate how nobody ever apologized to Tony for the Ultron stuff. He was 100% right in making ultron, and it's not like he hasn't developed stuff before without holding a team meeting first.
