Man of Tai Chi is actually really good. Reeves plays the bad guy for once. He runs a fight club for the mega rich. Gets a guy who practices tai chi, normally a peaceful martial art, to fight. Come to term with his demons type plot. Good though

Living in Japan, I don't remember that much marketing for Man of Steel. Also, people over here are not use to hear Superman referred to as the Man of Steel. So, that might have contributed to less sales for that movie.

I think they wanted to call it Man of Steel so the public wouldn't think Superman. They wanted to move away from the campy superman from the past. Similar to calling Batman "The Dark Knight"

I don't really see why the Symbiote has to come from space. In Ultimate Spider-Man, The Venom suit is a man-made creation born of an experiment by Richard Parker and Edward Brock, Sr. to develop a protoplasmic cure for cancer. Which is a much better explanation than, "I don't know... it came from space?"

The whole geisha restaurant scene was in SAC 1, so the movie is an odd amalgamation of inspiration from the anime movie / TV series, it may wind up more enjoyable for US audiences than the anime film adaptation was, but neither the anime film adaptation nor this new movie will be able to convey much of what made the original manga so much fun and crazy... But we'll see ... I'm worried though...

25:30 Is it amazing though? It also grossed like twice the amount Superman Returns did and a lot more than Batman Begins... I think it's more relevant that Doctor Strange's the 14th film in the biggest franchise in the world and MoS was the first in it's franchise. What I find more intereating is that Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them outgrossed Doctor Strange by like $150m. Like how did that happen? Marvel is obviously the bigger franchise and Strange is better known than whatever Redmayne's character is called. I didn't see Fantastic Beasts, so I guess if it's mountains better, that'd explain it, but Doctor Strange was good, so I don't think that's the case.
