What makes the scene worse is the nanobots in the iron spider suit were probably trying to keep peter together as he fell apart, that's probably why he stayed as long as he did and acted like he was hurting.

One of my favorite moments in the movie was when Black Panther and Captain America were running towards the weird monsters on the force field. They were way ahead of everyone else. They were the only people who could keep up with each other. It was brief, but I loved it so much!

My fave moment was Cap and Panther running at the horde, overtaking everyone else and right next to each other... united as brothers. Such a great parallel to Civil War when they were chasing each other. It would have been better if Bucky was keeping up with them as well! Also kinda reminded me of the end of Return of the King with Merry and Pippin, except reversed lol. Thor coming in was a close second. The entire battle, especially the wide pan shots at the start, was FANTASTIC! Also, did anyone notice that the gauntlet was warped/melted after the SNAP, or was I imagining things?

The central question, it seems to me, was "What are you willing do to or sacrifice to achieve victory?" Framed in Thanos' monologue: - In time, you will know what it's like to lose. To believe so desperately that you're right... yet fail all the same. First with Loki - Give up the Mind stone or Thor Dies. Loki can't sacrifice Thor so he surrender's the the stone. Then Starlord - Kill Gamora and save the universe. This is why Thanos said, " I like him." Then Gamora - Sure you'd kill Thanos' which is more bitter than sweet, but bittersweet nonetheless to save the universe, but how about Nebula? She surrendered the stone. Then Dr. Strange - giving up the stone to save Tony. Then Vision and Wanda - to which Thanos sympathized when Wanda did it. But Peter and Wanda weren't murdering to save the universe but instruments of a person's self-sacrifice to save the universe. Be that as it may, Thanos saw many of these as a test to his own resolve. Essentially saying, "Do you see how selfish they are? This is why there is no other way to save the universe. I have no choice. They are not willing to make the tough choices. But I will." ...But Captain America's line is the perfect counter-point: "We don't trade lives."

Dr Strange knows they're going to win. 100%. Remember the death scene for The Ancient One? She said she peered through time for YEARS, preventing countless bad futures. An no matter what she did, she was never able to see past the moment of her death. Every version of events lead to her dying in that moment. So if Dr Strange was able to see that they win, even after the snap, then he has to survive to see that victory in the end.

For me, it was Thor's way of just joking or playing off the likelihood of him dying. He definitely has more humor to his character ever since Ragnarok but, considering the recent events, I think he uses that humor as a coping mechanism throughout this film. He's lost basically everyone and, during that talk with Rocket, you can see how Thor really feels about everything underneath that facade.

In my opinion, Cap was able to stop Thanos' punch because during this day Thanos truly believed that he had given up everything and that his cause was truly for the greater good, and to find someone as pure as Cap who was using everything he had to stop Thanos' mission without any doubt made Thanos take a moment to think about what he was doing. He then, of course, realized that Cap was nothing, and nailed him to the floor, but still.

Well that scene exists in the comic book but they divided it into 2 different scenes in the movie. Cap doing the incredible block when he's the last man standing then Thanos has his speach were he recognizes his valor and courage except he does it with Stark after he stabbed him. My opinion it's because Ironman is more bankable in the mcu so giving him that moment was understandable.

I think they shouldve reversed the stabbing speech and blocking punch between Iron Man and Cap, the power inconsistency of the likes of Caps/Black Widow is cringy at times, like seriously? Cap can block a punch from Thanos with 5 Infinity Stones, Hulk couldnt even block it when Thanos only got 1 stone, Black Widow out strength foes that knocked around Vision like a ragdoll.... I understand they need to balance the powers to make the movie more interesting, but its just ridiculous anyway you think of it.

to be honest I was quite disappointed about Bucky’s “death”, more specifically about Steve’s reaction to it. Yes, maybe he was too shocked to react how we wanted him to but the whole Cap trilogy was pretty much about Steve sacrificing everything for Bucky so his reaction was a bit underwhelming. Tom Holland acted the s*it out of that scene, he was so good and seeing Peter just grabbing Tony, crying and pretty much begging for his life was heartbreaking.

I personally think that Strange saw that they need Tony to win in that one future, so he made a bargain, the stone to ensure that Tony survives this ordeal, so Tony can regroup and formulate the winning plan.

Also, I have a theory about Antman and the Wasp. They said that Clint and Scott are on house arrest yeah, and we see Scott's house being secured by the FBI or something. I think Antman and the Wasp happens near-prior to IW, and the set photo that was released a while back where Janet and Hank are walking at the beach, would happen around some time as the snap, so after their reunion, they'll suddenly fade away, and that'll prompt Scott and Hope to search/go to Tony

I think Cap was able to hold back Thanos due to his immense willpower. He's been show to never know when to quit since the first Captain America movie. So I believe that just his willpower as well as his want to protect that which he believes is important gave him the strength to hold Thanos back for a second. In the Infinity Gauntlet comic I remember him being the last alive super hero and he and Thanos go at it. Thanos tells Cap that protecting his values and fighting him will result in his death. But Cap says that those values are worth dying for and fights until the very end. So I think it might be a nod to the comics.

I loved this movie. The best one in my opinion. Thanos is he best villain. He actually won! It’s crazy to think that all the original avengers lived. I did not see that ending coming at all. This was also the best possible advertisement for Captain Marvel. I know nothing about her, but now I’m invested in who she is and why she is important for the fight against Thanos. Also I fear Antman will end with Scott and Hawkeye being left while Wasp, Hank, and everyone else dies.

Scarlett Witch was meant to be protecting Vision as part of their last line of defense while Shurri was working on the stone. In fact the very next scene shows the aliens attacking vision and the others guarding him as soon as she leaves. Had she stayed she might have stopped the last stone from getting taken and Thanos from winning.

I thought everything seemed rushed, the music was over dramatic elevator music rather than the nice scores from the past movies, The story line and the heroe's plans seemed liked the writers had a week to create the movie, they tried to put the humor in the previous movies in the middle of "oh hey 1/2 my people just died.... and punchline to something else." Star Lord's stupidity considering what Gamora wanted him to do earlier, no matter how "emotional" he may have been made no sense.Not my least favorite , better than Ultron and a few others , and hopefully the 2nd part will give the events from this film some cohesiveness.

My theatre was silent too and for the first time ever we all waited for the after credits and we cheered and then back to silence and then we exited very slowly, we had from age 4 to 80 and everybody had the same feels, it was awesome to see this for a thing we all slowly grew to love over time and we know it's all comics and nerd shit but to see them all die at once was unnerving, we know their coming back but we also know that it's two years at least which is "the dance"

More likely he left one Dwarf alive because the core of his motivations are anti-extinction so killing them all isn't really what he does if he has another choice. At the same time he can't leave a viable number of them alive because as soon as he leaves they'd make a weapon that could kill him. In the end he kills all but one and takes that one's hands so that the species still exists (for a time) but also can't forge any weapons against him. It just so happened they had a weapon mold already made and the Dwarf didn't need to use his hands to guide Thor, Rocket and Groot to it's completion.

I don't think you're supposed to buy that this is really "the end" for Black Panther, or Spider-Man, or those characters. The Russos are smart guys, so I think that's playing to audience expectations. Plus, all the Guardians except Rocket and Nebula? Yeah, you're supposed to know. I'm more split on the real deaths, though. On the one hand it would feel cheap to undo them too. On the other, I really don't want Gamora to stay dead. And is Valkyrie among the dead Asgardians? I'm sure she'd try to fight, so she's probably among the dead, but I'd hate for her to stay dead, too.
