[NO SPOILERS!] Just seen it - holy shit. I understand what these people are saying. It's completely shellshocking. The movie finished and I didn't react - no one reacted! So much fast-paced awe, spectacle and pay offs. It's beyond expectations. I'm unable to fathom what I saw... it's a lot to process and a lot to reflect on, that's for sure... highly recommend watching it more than once, because once you've seen it, you know what to expect for the second time, so you can enjoy it for what it is. Two pre-requisites for those of you who haven't seen it yet: 1- Steer clear of all spoilers! It's worth going into this movie with no prior plot details. 2- Make sure you've seen all 18 movies prior for the love of god! I know a lot of people skip a few films and only watch the 'main' ones, but if you want the biggest pay off, and you want to understand fully and experience the full weight of everything unfolding, you need to watch all 18 movies... no half measures. Treat each film as an episode, and Infinity War as a season finale... you wouldn't watch a season finale without watching all the episodes leading up to it right? These movies are no different. As stated, these movies are so fast-paced, there's little time for exposition, so you need to have seen everything prior for definite.

You'd have to be kinda dumb to go see Infinity War knowing full well you have never watched any of the films that have come before. For every 3 people that have the decency and common courtesy to avoid telling spoilers, there are 30 assholes that are so desperate for attention from complete strangers that they spoil the movie for everyone else. It pisses me off to no end. And their argument? 'Stay off the internet if you don't want to get spoiled!' Really? Telling people to stay away from the internet because you're not capable of keeping your mouth shut? Or perhaps because you have no friends to talk with about the movie? Here's a tip for those people: either discuss the movie in private, type SPOILERS in big, fat letters before spoiling shit, or stay silent. I saw Infinity War today and I have no intention whatsoever to spoil anything for anyone. Why? Because I want people to enjoy the movie as much as I did. I want them to experience the movie as it was meant to be seen. That's what decent people do.

Really happy all of my favorite Sweatlords--Schnepp, McCarty, Jandreau, the rest of the Collider Cinematic Universe, Kevin Smith, Charlie "Emergency Awesome" Schneider, Nerdist--were all floored by Infinity War even after the months, nay years, of hype-train conducting. So much anticipation, yet Infinity War is still garnering so much praise from the people/editorial staffs that have the knowledge/high expectations to share informed opinions for the sweaties soon to be in the theater crowds. At least I know that I don't need to go in to it Thursday night with any apprehension about the quality of the film, just anxiety about the emotional--ahem--gauntlet--ahem--through which the Russos and Marvel are about to run me.

On the point about people who haven't watched the other Marvel movies not understanding what's going on... honestly, so what? Especially as a fan who does know this franchise well, why even worry about that for this movie? It's great when something like Black Panther comes out as a fairly standalone movie that's pretty accessible for people who haven't followed the franchise, but this is Infinity War. I'd be more worried if they said it's just as rewarding for people who haven't watched the entire MCU. This absolutely should be the movie that pays off the set up of 19 other movies.

After watching reviews for the last few years on Marvel Movies, Reviewers seemed to always complain about the Villans being under utilitised....Infinity War seems to have reversed that by making Thanos the main story holder of the movie with the rest of the cast having a reduced presense, but still in there...Really looking forward to watching it
@brianajones46796 жыл бұрын
In regards to Markeia’s comment about people that haven’t watched a single Marvel movie before seeing Infinity War, I can understand the concern. However, to Schnepp’s point, hopefully it will pique their curiosity enough to go see/go back and watch the solo films. I was that way with the Avengers in 2012. I loved that movie so much that I went back and binge watched the rest of Phase 1 to see all of the characters’ stories. I think that much like Civil War, not having seen any of the other movies may leave people lacking the emotional weight on a first viewing. Hopefully they are interested enough to go back and see the other films then go see Infinity War again with new knowledge.

Avengers : Infinity War (NO spoilers): Firstly, this is a quality -looking film: Great visuals, sets, etc. CGI is largely excellent (i.e. Spiderman moves a lot more like the Raimi Spiderman). The action scenes are brilliantly fast -paced and involving (even if the editing can still be a little choppy on certain fight sequences - giving a 'busy' feel to some parts). Given the sheer number of characters involved, the Russo brothers do an excellent job of melding most of them together - with obviously some characters having much more screen time than others. Thanos is a great villain and his omnipotent power creates tension over just how badly our heroes will come out ...if at all! My main criticism - not enough to spoil the movie (and nowhere near as irritating as Spiderman: Homecoming or as often try -hard as Thor : Ragnarok) is the jokes are once again feel mainly shoe-horned in. This is in contrast to the rather more 'organic' feel to many sight / verbal gags we had say i the first two Avengers / Captain America : Civil War. The upside is 7 out of 10 of those jokes work well but it does begin to feel like too much of a nod to the 'kids'! The final act WILL shock any die -hard fan and there's a genuine sense of upset at the events that unfold. The final credits scene didn't do that much for me given what I'd just watched to close out the film. All in all a very good watch, an epic -looking film. A very solid tale - again given the ensemble cast - and a must watch for the Marvel fan! Visuals - 9. Story - 8. Action - 9. Overall score 8.5 /10

I need to watch this again, cause while everyone has the exact same goal there was so much to take in that I'm sure I've missed a thing or two. Even when your predictions comes true they were extremely satisfying, and there was 2 moments in particular that I was hoping to see in live action that came to pass. Though certain parts did drag a little bit because as a comic book fan you will know where some parts of the plot will go, I honestly could not imagine anyone doing a better job then what they accomplished with this movie. It was so great to see a villan getting to be the center piece while the heroes plays a supporting role for once in an MCU movie. I believe this has no spoilers and if your a comic book fan you probably will know the major beats of this movie already but I don't want to be a dick so I'll say possible vague spoilers ahead. There is no doubt that this is the empire strikes back of the MCU and I'm now really curious how this will effect antman and the wasp, luke cage s2, daredevil s3 and agents of shield when the team (the people in the show no spoilers from the movie) breaks from their current timeloop.

I think if you've been invested in the characters since Iron Man (mostly the main characters) then you'll come out loving this movie and being very emotional. People who just go to see MCU films for a good time will just have a good time.

Is there an epic hero shot with all of the characters? That's what I want to know

Loved Thanos and the Black Order. If I have any complaints it’s that it wasn’t long enough.. give me a 4 hour cut!

I just saw the movie today and I have to say, It was greatly done, the Jokes blended well, the fight scenes are amazingly perfect, everyone had their moments. Although I wish some important scenes should have been added to the movie but I understand that due to the movie's run time. I have to admit, this was more of Thanos' quest for the Infinity Stones. And the Ending, I swear, no one on this earth would of guess it.

*I love Markeia, such a great addition to Collider. I find her not only super-intelligent but extremely attractive as well. Feel free to quote me in the next edition of CH, Schnepp!*

Me!! I watched this movie 3 times yesterday and Markeia's reaction is my reaction because I was an emotional wreck after watching it. What I will say is this is a movie that you MUST watch it in theaters and definitely worth shelling out the extra cash to watch in iMAX. (P.S. I will be watching it many more times within the next week or so regardless of the hole it will inevitably burn in my wallet.)
