I sampled Parfums Vintage and ended up buying Several fragrances. I never compared them to Creed. I really don’t care if they smell like Creed. I care that I enjoy several variations of Pineapple Vintage and can spray without using “sparingly.” I love Cedrat Boise but Pineapple Vintage Intense turns heads the most out of the versions I own. I ended up giving my bottle of Emerald Isle away to a friend who loved it so much. I said you can pay more for the Original scent which smells damn near the same and doesn’t perform as well. He said no. Not everyone wants or needs their shelves adorned with Creed flasks to feel good about their collection. Let’s just smell good. Let’s project.

Great vid as always! Love that your content touches on all aspects and genres of fragrances. As a frag head who isn't tied down to one specific genre I always appreciate that. I have Pineapple Vintage Intense which I really like, and even though I have Aventus I love the Aventus DNA and PVI gives just enough of a different take and does its own thing for me to say it's definitely worth it. I was wondering though about Emerald Isle vs. Verbena Fields. I believe you may have stated it in your review but I was wondering since Verbena Fields is more on the Lemony side of GIT, then Emerald Isle is more of the grassy accord? Is it a really strong earthy grassy accord or no?

I have some samples coming of theirs and can not wait. It does sound like rather than just trying to be straight clones Parfums Vintage are just doing kinda “their take” on these scents 🤷‍♂️ it sounds like if they weren’t compared to Creed fragrances they would be considered amazing fragrances on their own. I can’t wait to try the Aventus versions I ordered having tried CDNIM and yeah it’s ok but I use it as an air freshener now 😂😂😂 I love the pineapple note if Parfums Vintage shipped their full bottles to Australia I’d probably get all their Aventus versions 😃

I have Emperor/Rush of Unicorns/Sunset in heaven/Verbena fields and Evolution de l’homme soir All are good I have not had a bad response to any of them I have got or tried the original versions of these scents ,all we could do with is some discount codes like they get in the states also I buy a lot of fragrances and most company’s I buy from chuck in a free sample of the new fragrances. When you spend a few quid.I am really a big fan of Amouage Own most and tried the rest and Dior Homme and now moving over to the house of Marley after trying a few testers.

Just received their sample of King Intense, Vanilla Intense and Beyond Noir. I've had PV Intense from them for the past year and it's by far my most complimented fragrance. Club De Nuit Intense, L'Aventure, 13ZZ01 and Brasillia - I have them all and PV Intense and Vanilla Intense are perfect for the Aventus batches that I love (more sweet and fruity).

PV Intense, King Intense and Vanilla Intense could easily be a Creed batch. It's the only company that does these Aventus versions so well

Dan, there is a discontinued fragrance by Cavalli called Cavalli Black. Its a smoother more sophisticated version of D&G's By man. If you find it get it. I found a bottle in a pharmacy a week ago. Im sure you will love it.

I'll stick with Creed! I understand why there are so many clones, the full size bottles are expensive. That's why I'm all for buying decants of the original. For the price of one full size bottle, you can have a nice selection of decants of the original fragrances. If you use them sparingly, they'll last you a long time.

As far as Creed Copies/Clones go. I was quite surprised when I found a fragrance at M&S called Bergamot and Basil. A gentleman in the shop said everyone gets it because its smells like Creed Aventus. It does, sort of. And another one called Vetiver and Cedarwood, I can't quite place it, but it's copying somthing. Either way not bad for £22. You should take a look Mr Smelly. There are some interesting Ouds too. Great video as ever 👍

I think if Intrigo Devastante smelled closer to By Man it would be a nice pick up. I knew you own and like By Man and I was hoping and waiting for you to drop a comparative review. I really like the idea of recreating discontinued popular fragrances. For other clones I mostly don't care for the exact reasons you mentioned. The good clones are not that much cheaper and in any case 10ml - or even 5 ml - of a fragrance for someone with a larger collection is actually plenty, so you can always pick up a decant. Depending on the strength of a fragrance you get at least 1,33 wearings per ml in my experience.

I purchased Rush of Unicorns. It is WAY better than the bottle of Love and Luck I own. It is definitely a home run. I am kind of torn on purchasing one of their Aventus clones. First of all, they have so many, I wouldn't know which one to pick...pineapple intense, king intense, pineapple noir, beyond noir, vanilla intense...which one??? Second, I own two bottles of Club de Nuit which performs very well for me and smells so much like Aventus except it has lemon instead of pineapple. Also, I have a big bottle of Coolwater which I think is a decent fragrance. I don't know if I want to drop the cash for Emerald Isle. I did it with Rush of Unicorns and was just blown away. If their other fragrances are as good I might just end up purchasing a couple more from them... probably King Intense and Emerald Isle. I hear their Suave is really good too but I LOVE my la nuit de l'homme so I am going to stick with that.

From a legal point of view it’s bad enough copying a another perfumer’s work but by making so many versions of one copied fragrance, I think Damien Stammers runs the risk of being sued by Creed.

I like that the company are ignoring the cliche that there are too many Aventus clones because I wouldn't have Vanilla Intense. It's Aventus batch 16A01 which is now $500 in the fb groups. Love Parfums Vintage

i have a few from parfums vintage and honestly i think they have the best product for the money. I messed around with some Armaf stuff and Alexandria Fragrance stuff and to me they put out shit (i will say the few Dua items I have I really like). Parfums vintage put out pretty high quality clones which isn't something Armaf or Alexandria Fragrance can claim, ever! If you like things that are maybe blended a little better, refined a touch more, maybe even slightly / much better ingredients then I highly recommend Parfums Vintage, especially if you hate CDNIM and how synthetic it smells and wears, honestly i feel like it's pine sol + piss and leather and i hate it. Love the rundown here though, I will also say X Batch is probably the best item out of this house but all the other clones are really good and just a step above the competition but not quite at the level of the original scents.

Hmm, there are some seriously pricey clone houses about these days (Dua and PV). I'll stick to Milton Llloyd, UDV, Sapil, Zara & Next etc for inexpensive alternatives! Armaf, Al Haramain, Rasasi and Reyane Tradition etc if I want something a little more.

Let me start by saying, I think clones are very good, you can save some money and get a fragrance very close to the real fragrance that you desire for a fraction of the cost...However, when you get to this price point I feel that it would make more sense to get the original fragrance rather than the clone, or at the least a decant. I own a few clones to some of my favorite fragrances but I feel at a higher price tag you're better off just getting the original.

It is what I would call “good” in performance. It lasted through a shower and stays on clothes ages. Projection seems decent but ,like By Man, not incredibly strong. So, good overall but not beast mode.

I sampled millesime imperial, have rush of unicorns and must say I am absolutely happy with the Alexandria version of MI, it is miles closer to MI than rush of unicorns.

Alexandria has good stuff. Their bottles sizes are a little different. They only sell 30mL and 60mL bottles. I have Himalaya Mountains which is a dead ringer of Creed's Himalaya. I also have Rose Noir, which is a beautiful rose fragrance and their interpretation of Amouage Lyric Man (which I have never smelled). They are a very diverse house worth checking out but many of their most popular fragrances are sold out right now.

King intense has a very distinct dirty note that I could not live with. For the price/ml you are better off buying a decant of aventus. Also the majestic creed dry down of ambergris and musk is missing. Performance: 3/1 sprays compared to creed. Scent is very linear and doesn’t develop and morph like aventus...

Sorry Dan must disagree with you on this one. Al Haraman L’Aventure is the closest to Aventus . I been complemented on the above several times and asked is that Aventus you are wearing. Just my opinion tho.😊

I agree with you. I like to layer L'Aventure (4 sprays) with Club de Nuit (2 sprays). Receive more compliments with this combo than when I wear straight up Aventus alone. For some reason, Aventus doesn't last long on my skin.

Great review, however, the amount of really pointless fragrances churned out like Soap Opera episodes really annoy me, maybe irrationally,,,,,........ Quality not quantity as it used to be. clones are like cover bands (no offence) if you have the talent do something original. Sorry, I know all these frags keep us in your great vids, they are just faceless, here today gone tomorrow frags.And the irony, the expense, you, may as well pay a bit extra and get the original...
