That really depends on a lot of factors, like how many dependents you have, your deductible expenses, charity giving, etc. I’d say 20% including federal and state, but again that’s a very rough estimate.

26 uneducated male in construction making 40/hr. 80/hr on overtime. 10.10hr Employer annuity contribution. 10.86/hr into a pension. 16.50/hr in health benefits. Im a degree-less construction bumm making damn good coin. People kimda just say oh when i say i work construction but when i tell them ill be making 65/hr in 2 years as a licensed journeyman they are blown away. That the minimum they must pay often the good guys are overscaled to keep them from jumping to a different company and the pension follows you throughout the industry. 130/hr for working on a Saturday is just fine with me.
