You just have to type "thirdperson" in the console (and make sure to activate the cheats. To activate them, you type "sv_cheats 1" in the console). To access the console, you can go to the game options (in the menu) and look up what key you have to press to toggle the developer console.

Does it work in every server? If not, how do make myself a server. I tried once but ut says I need a 2nd player to make it start

@@willkeinnamen5829 Like hive husk said, it only works in community and private servers. To create your own server, you click on "Find a game", then "Create server", choose a map and change some of the settings if you want. I remember when I just started playing TF2 that I wasn't able to create my own server, but eventually, I got access to it. I'm not sure why it tells you that you need a 2nd player though. I would assume that it's probably due to the map you've chosen when you tried. You can try it again and tell me if it works this time. I'm trying to find online how come it wouldn't work, but I can't find answers so far.
