Brilliant performance, apparently back in the day the Americans couldn't believe a band so full of rhythm and groove, came from Scotland

Scotish people like to sing.The 70's were about black infulences.like always.

I don't think they can today. Simply brilliant sounds. I love this kind of music.

In Washington DC, they found their best fans. A 70 percent African American city embraced them and still loves them to this day. One of the more remarkable moments in American musical history.

We got over it pretty quickly. Their origin mattered less than their musical brilliance.

The rock and roll hall fame is totally a joke if the average white band has not been considered

Great track from their 1979 album No Fret, this Scottish band could do no wrong with their classic brand of Memphis Soul rhythm & Blues music

Timeless music from an amazing Scottish soul band, the best there will ever be. Love this recording from their time in the Bahamas, they look so relaxed and happy, no wonder they sounded so good. From my homeland and I am grateful for their music.

Full band composition credit for this wonderful song, albeit, nowadays, without the irreplaceable, soulful and wonderful Hamish Stuart. Though Hamish no longer possesses those upper octave chops, the loss of his soulful feel and musicianship on stage, leaves a void unfilled....

Outstanding band from Scotland who I saw many times when they toured with Kokomo. I found it disgraceful that a lot of racist black radio stations in America wouldn't play any of The Average White Bands songs because they didn't like the word white being used.Thats a fact.Check out the truth and make your own options.
@gusmartins32982 ай бұрын
I think it was black radio that prolonged their career long after white radio stopped playing them. So I disagree with you!
