PIcked up the blue one at the wind up watch fair NYC and it hasnt left the wrist yet, the attention to detail by Wes and Cullen is crazy

Nice review. I picked up the Orange Flare option last month, and absolutely love it. Although not without it flaws as you say. I was excited to look at the extension clasp but was also disappointed about the section that sticks out, although luckily I can get a fit that doesn’t need it to come out more than one or two clicks. I also thought the Oyster style bracelet was not as premium as their H link bracelet looks in other reviews I have seen. But all in all, agree it is a great watch for the money, with mine running at around -6 seconds a day.👍

IMO nh35 is the perfect movement for a tool watch. Study and easy and economical to replace if/when it might need replacing. I have a couple of these. I think the best part is the handset, which has sophisticated dauphine hands, and yet plenty of lume.

Thanks Eric! You are one of the reasons we are keeping the Retrospect around in the lineup! Love the NH. I’d also add they last longer than entry level Swiss movements too.

Received my Salmon Retrospect last week. I've worn it every day after adjusting the bracelet-removed 2 links from each side. Mine fits perfect with the "extension" fully inserted. I let it out one "click" on the fly if I get hot/sticky, and it fits great! Keeping great time. Has a great weight presence on the wrist, not too heavy, not too light....you can barely feel it when on. So far, so good!

Have the blue dial coming tomorrow and can’t wait. Probably the best sandwich dial under $1000 in my opinion. Definitely punches way above it’s price point! Great job Nodus!

How's it working out for you? I'm ordering the blue dial as well.

Looks very similar to the Zelos Swordfish 42mm. Kissing cousins, maybe?

Tbh, I don’t see the resemblance at all. 😅

Yeah, not seeing a resemblance either, lol

I see it - the same numbering system on the bezel, sandwich dial with great lume, half a marker at 6:00 with date above and trangular markers - moreso on the Nodus but we're not calling them copies! Of course it's not a Steinhart sitting next to a Rolex in terms of similarities, but they are absolutely there imo.

Also, to be in the same sentence as Zelos is a very big compliment :) Not US made but absolutely a great product.

@@bradgrappin5714 same numbering system? Lol, most divers use a similar layout. So because it's a sandwich dial with the date at 6 o'clock then? I own a few Zelos SF and yeah, they don't look alike to me, I mean no more than the common shared design language between most all divers anyway.

Instead of telling us what YOU like, you should have shown us the mechanics of fine-tuning the wristband! Was that so difficult? Or are there only two positions? What's more, it seems to be jamming a bit...
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
I literally demonstrated the full range of adjustment and it wasn't jamming it's non-ratcheting, so you have to push the button to both extend and compress. Maybe instead of rushing to the comments section to complain, you could try actually watching out for the information you're searching for, thanks.

A steel-bezel and a NH35 for $475.-... sure...
@noduswatches59802 жыл бұрын
Could probably be cheaper than $475 if we took out US-assembly + regulation, non-Japan made NH35 (most are Malaysian), and in-house development cost for our proprietary NodeX extension. Adding all those in, $475 is honestly probably still a loss for us.
@Zonediver2 жыл бұрын
@@noduswatches5980 A loss? These $475.- are "without taxes"... we have 20% tax - so this watch costs 570.- "without" shipping... no, thanks...
@noduswatches59802 жыл бұрын
@@Zonediver you do realize we don’t get any of the taxes you pay right? In fact the shipping we charge is less than it actually costs, as a way to help our customers. If we could do the day for taxes, we would.

@@Zonediver this is the dumbest comment I have ever seen! What does taxes have to do with their price?

@@redcard1990 Taxes? I dont mentioned taxes... so what do you want? Your commend is dumb my friend... and by they way: My Marc & Sons (Made in Germany) with a Miyota 9015 had a price of € 466.- INKL. taxes - so this watch is... i dont know, what it is... a rip off? Maybe... The price is just ridiculously high and the design is meh... no sane person pays that...
