This is the best biggest most beautiful update ever it’s beyond me. I love Sean and the team. He cares about players and us. This is the dream game. Everyone els starfield etc needs to retire. In my mind there's only a few things that are left that need doing. In order of how important I feel they are... Making combat feel better (whether thats adding aiming down sights, adding the ability to take cover, or just adding things like hostile sentient aliens planet side, which is still wild that it doesn't exist you mean to tell me there aren't any pirate bases to raid on any worlds in an infinte galaxy?), smarter procedural generated animals (certain traits should be more prevelant on certain worlds, like furry creatures on icy planets and the like) and finally more customization (more base parts, especially for aquatic builds now, more apperance options, and making at least some of the exotic ships, like the spheres, be able to be broken down and customized like the other base ship type) Sure settlements could use some TLC too but they function fine as they are.

I would have loved that they would provide two blueprints for the "relics". The one as it is now and the one as it was original. Allowing you to build a proper home with an ancient architecture.

In Stellar Multitudes mission is bugged. People are jumping endlessly to reach their newly created systems. Can't see where or how far it is because the galaxy map is useless. Can't abandon and restart the quest, it's just broken! Hello Games fix this issue before the expedition hits.

The deep oceans, gas giants, and water on moons are only in purple stars. You have to complete the main story and Autophage questline part 1. From there you warp in a dissanent system to start the quest to unlock those amazing systems. It had to be done this way, so other world build wouldn't mess up. Let's say it's the endgame area for experienced players like myself.

There is about 20 "beeps", "honks", and "boops" for every creature, all of which sound like they were generated on a 90's casio keyboard. Please. Update. The. Sound. Design. It helps with immersion!

Any character can do it. You need to have finished the main story line, and the autophage story line to start the new stuff.

If you mean the update content as a whole, it is added to any current save. Many of the new features are in the purple systems, so you'll need to go there. Expeditions are available to everyone regardless of progress I believe.

Looks amazing and I love so many things about this game except the story... the story is so completely lacking and uninspired, zero character development just a massive sandbox that lightly touches on the Matrix theme. The expeditions kind of help but not much.

My “aqua blue - Mediterranean like” planet was ruined; it’s neon purple and has vine like trees EVERYWHERE. It’s still a “beautiful” paradise planet but… it was better BEFORE. It went from S class to A class in my opinion. They should’ve added new stars systems, WITH these weird updates instead of changing already found planets.

They need to just totally wipe/reset the universe. Instead of continuing to add new planets/systems that use the better new/enhanced generation systems and new flora/minerals, and have that stuff all be exclusive to the added planets and systems, they need to just wipe the whole universe, and regenerate everything in it with the current system and all of its updates/enhancements. Then you would hage full galaxy of wonferful and unique planets with the advanced generation system, with huge mountains, oceans, and dense jungles, etc. As is its super lame going from a new planet, and landing on an old/legacy planet with the trash and boring look/generation.

Adding a bunch of new systems instead of resetting everyone's bases and favorite planets is the best possible way they could have gone about it in my opinon, people were even upset that their planet's colors changed when Worlds Part 1 came out, so imagine how upset the community would be if everything got erased. Only other solution I can think of is making new galaxies with the new planets, and making one of those the new default starting galaxy.

What I would agree with is creating No Man's Sky 2, OR a parallel NMS universe within the first game that would have entirely new generation without erasing the old planets.

Where are these supposed deeper oceans? I've gone to 3 ocean planets now in the purple systems and they've all been the same shallow puddles the game always had. I'm starting to feel this guy was lying his ass off with this statement. I also haven't seen a single biome with legit forests and "jungles" either. Gas giants are underwhelming as well. What exactly am I missing here because people are hyping this update up so much and it's been nothing but a let down so far.

For me the trailer was disappointing. They said there are oceans several kilometers deep then they show you a player swimming just a few meters below a shallow sea? then there is the gas giants, they just showed a rocky planet with a tornado? are the gas giants not gas giants but just rocky worlds with an atmosphere that makes it just look like that? wtf? Thanks for showing me what the trailer should have.

I understand that they probably wouldn't make the gas giants in the game exactly the same as the gas giants in real life as there would not be much to do. Gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn don't have iron cores. Instead, they are believed to have cores composed of heavier elements, but the exact composition is still a matter of scientific debate. These cores are surrounded by layers of metallic hydrogen due to the extreme pressures inside the planets interior.
