I think I’ll be the first one to mention the thumbnail… love the bed head, but you can clean it up just by making a mask and setting your brush to “overlay” just drag it right over your bed head and watch the strays magically disappear👌🔥😂

BIG thing you need to let people know is its hdmi 2.0 not hdmi 2.1! Not many youtubers are talking about it because they don't actively record a lot of console gaming. If you own a monitor or tv that has hdmi 2.1 so you can actually PLAY games in 120 fps (with a resolution of 1440 or 4k) like overwatch 2, quake, ori games, rainbow six siege, etc know that this and other capture cards that dont have that hdmi 2.1 port will not work! A lot of console player will be buying these thinking that their new console and new monitor/tv will be perfect for this when it won't. To use this and other capture cards you have to disable the hdmi 2.1 on your tv/monitor in the settings and have it at 2.0 to use them, but now your consoles will be limited to either 4k 60 fps or 1080p 120 fps. This is big for games like overwatch where that frame rate makes the difference in playability. while nobody needs to stream the output higher than 1080 or 1440 60 fps, being limited to that on both sides (both sides meaning both the user and the viewer) makes upgrading your capture card or spending that extra money on a new capture card not worth it. You will not be able to take full advantage of this like a computer only user can. As of writing sadly there aren't any capture cards I can find that have hdmi 2.1.

We bought the hd60x because we usually play games in 1440p and watching sometihng to caputer in 1080 and pass through in 1440p. We were dissapointed to discover that the hd60x does not have multiapp support at this moment. Would you know if the avermedia has multi app support for running in multiple programs or multiple obs sessions?

This is a windows limitation since it only allows one app to control a UVC device at a time. You will have to figure out a workaround

Yea a buck 80 is spendy for a mic arm. I got one a few months ago and will say they thought everything when engineering this thing, there is even a feature that they dont mention and it is that when you tighten the center joint to support heavier devices it does not affect the amount of force required for upward movement. Not tryin to sell you one, just sharing my experience.

Final update: Tested both cards, both allow 4K/60 play (1080/240 1440/120 VRR HDR pass), while allowing 1440/60 capture. HDX looks identical in OBS 28 preview w/ HDR. Sadly, with HDR on the LGU3, OBS preview has washed out colors. (only diff between cards) So not worth saving $40…

My issue with teams is how buggy it is. I've had to reinstall it twice recently due to the stupid sign-out loop that Microsoft continues to ignore. I also hate how anyone in the organization can just add you to a team without your consent. And if someone reacts to a comment, rather than acknowledging it when you look at the comment, you have to click on activity just to get the red marker to go away. Ok so I have more than one issue with it.

Both are bad choices... If you can't capture at 1080p 120fps or 1440p 120fps with VRR and HDR then it's useless... These are both cash grab cards... I'm ready to give up my Live Gamer Ultra but not for one of these... This is a dangerous game they're both playing (Avermedia and Elgato). Soon there will be no use for a capture card... We're a lot closer than you think. Go look at NDI... The only people who really need cards like this will be console gamers and I'm sure someone is working on a software solution for them too...

Personally, I think it's an embarrassing Failure of all of them that they don't have higher end products. 144hz has been around and standard for YEARS now and the fact only ONE product on the market supports 144hz passthrough is crazy to me. It honestly feels lazy. They throw 1080 and some basic 4K on there call it a day cause they don't have anyone else in the market pushing them. Which means they know we have no choice but to buy whatever they make. I find it insulting how SLOW and outdated the features are on these products. The MINI LED monitors are now on the market en mass. and OBS v28 is about to have support for HDR. - I expect to have a capture card that can do 10bit 4k 240hz HDR with the latest HDMI or DP version with full features. - period. The fact that this isn't on the market shows the complete lack of innovation or desire to provide better products. As a consumer I am insulted by this. Would it have to cost a lot more? SURE! Would it require dedicated High speed Type C data port? I'd expect so. $400 capture card that requires you to install a dedicated PCIE card to connect it or just have it be a internal PCIE 4.0 X4 card. while I am sure SOME people will find a great use for these, to me they are e-waste. Manufactured obsolescent junk. Give us a REAL FRICKIN PRODUCT! - I expect SO MUCH MORE! shm... So while I appreciate your enthusiasm I just cannot share it. I cannot find passion in tattered leftovers and scraps.

Can you look at more off brand capture cards. I think a lot of them need debunking because they just lie to people about their features. If you did a video where you went through and looked at them at all price points trying to find the best at that price point and seeing if they actually deliver the specs they promise. Personally I would love a look at the EZCast CatchU as well. its £120 and claims to be able to output to a pc and record to an internal usb at 1080p60. would love to know if that is actually true

The best capture card? The one that will eventually bring HDMI2.1. Only then is it possible to stream 3440x1440 at 144Hz + HDR. OBS will soon get an update which should handle the tone mapping of HDR. But unfortunately there are currently no capture cards that play along on the hardware level.
