I am impressed. I never paid attention to this video before because I just didn't recognize the brand name of the reel and it didn't seem like anything I would ever need to know anything about. But the mag you built for that reel would probably go good on a 309 if you could find an aluminum spool for it.

But why mag a magged reel? Looking for knowledge cause I want to send you reels that aren't magged so you can mag so I can start pendulum casting 8oz to 10oz weights with baits mxl and lx raptors

Very interesting what you did here. I emailed you last night about my Avet MC Cast Raptor MXL 6/4 RH 2-Speed (50lb braid backing to 50lb mono top shot) . I'm not getting the distance i need shore casting. Currently it's great for bottom jigging but not casting far from shore. Also my Blue Yonder 7K (50lb braid straight). I can get 100yds easy on it but i feel i can get more, maybe 180yds?. Nice video! i subscribed to your awesome channel last night:)
