Thanks for tuning in Dave. It’s definitely a chunky monkey but wears well for the dimensions. I was surprised as I’m wearing it now very comfortably. I wrote the watch off when it was first announced but after wearing it, I’d consider it.

Lots to like with this, and a Swiss made true gmt that isn't going to rip the soul out of your bank account when you pay for it. That's a win on its own. That dial is very nice, I was a bit surprised that they made the case that big that's definitely going to put some people off. Overall a pretty impressive watch 👍

Very nice one ! Have a Seaatar 1000 myself. This is a pretty good one. I could handle the 45mm no problem and as you say a smaller lug to lug helps bigger watches. Excellent review.

I’m not sure if the dial (cool when looked at by itself) really matches the bezel colours and the dimensions makes it unwearable for me , but fun watch and like the GMT.

I would own this watch right now if it wasn’t so absurdly sized. Went with a Seiko sharp edge GMT. Similar colors, even at 43mm it’s a little larger than ideal.

That’s about the same size as my Bulova Lunar Pilot, but with a boxier case. You’ll have to have a big wrist to wear this one.

You are correct about that. This Tissot is thicker but with my 7” wrist, it’s fitting much better than expected and is more comfortable as well than expected.

@@MADTURK61372 I don’t remember to be honest. It wasn’t flat matte but I don’t remember it being glossy either. Hard to tell in the video. If I had the choice, I’d pick the 1000 due to the size. Your question was between the GMT and the Seastar 2000. I’d go with the GMT for the GMT complication. However I’d wait for other colorways and possibly more sizes.

Nice review, beautifully filmed too. But 1:24: "Not a huge difference." I'm not sure about that: in my view the difference IS huge - 45.5mm ! They've overdone the hands too, the width of them is ridiculous. I've now given up on many of these great-looking Certinas, Tissots, Hamilton's, Seikos, Citizens and Bulovas - I'm 6ft, ok, no giant, just about average height and biuld but 43 mm and above is just way too big on wrist for most of us but hey, good luck to all you basketball and football pros - there is a great variety of plus40mm watches to choose from. 😉

Thanks for the feedback. I’m 6’ as well and 43mm is my typical cutoff. I see how this GMT literally split the crowd and I think Tissot knew as well (which is why I suspect they limited the quantity).

It’s a nice effort as we’re all interested in affordable traveller GMT’s. But I find it far too big and chunky, don’t like the hands at all, think the date window is too small, and the stamped divers extension looks horrible. Tissot makes some quality watches at good prices but this one doesn’t make the grade for me. There are better options out there.

I appreciate you checking out the video and value your opinion. This watch is a bit exclusive not just for the US market but anyone with smaller sized wrists. The date window could be larger for sure, but props on the dolor matching. The diver extension is definitely a cost cutting measure as with my Longines Hydroconquest, they do the same thing at a higher price. There are better options out there but at a cost. I find the 1200 dollar price tag very fair for what you get.

The powermatic is free sprung and Lazer regulated! this makes it necessary to send back to Tissot for maintenance and repair! very expensive endeavour and long wait!

The size is necessary to open up the inside and show off this stunning watch. They didnt want a Seiko cramped look . Who says the Small case size of the Rolex GMT is a great stunner This watch is sporty classy, the thickness sets it apart from a dress watch, aren't all the real luxury brands making huge case sizes in their lineup ? Finally not just a boring all black Bezel, golly Bob you mean we cant do something with all those black bezels that have been done to death Or the over used Pepsi dial senario, I hate the description as a "Pepsi" colored dial, where did they get that ? By the way, Pepsi tastes like Pepsodent tooth paste

Should have been 40mm. That's why Rolex never made a chunky GMT watch based on the larger divers, knowing no pilot wants the inability to swivel their wrist or a 200g chunk of steel. A GMT watch over 40x48 is just not practical. DIvers can be large to help with visibility in dark murky waters, but there's no need for this to be the size of a 3000m dive watch.

Nice looking watches, but Tissot are poorly built and unreliable, my Tissot didn’t even last a year on my wrist and in that year was sent back under warranty for poor workmanship and materials used. Gshock all the way 🤔

thats a 3mm difference dude, not 2. and its a noticeable size difference from the 1000 to the gmt. that watch is too big for you, its not your fault!
