Fester's Quest isn't that bad. You just have to max your weapon and not backstep to let the enemies respawn. I could never beat the last level though.

I managed to kill the last alien boss. The ending was a disappointment. The game was not as bad as James made it out to be. I think things really get better after getting the whip.

There are also hidden life bars in some of the buildings and those make a big difference surviving in this game. I usually farm for about 20 mins to max out my gun and gain a bunch of keys, money, and lightbulbs, and then I start playing the game. Hit up all of the houses for more weapons from the other Addams family characters, and visit hot dog stands when available to save on life potions, and you're all good. It's not so bad. Fester's Quest is actually a really fun game.

Fester's Quest has always been one of my all time fav games so this episode makes me sad. I still love this episode and he has few fair points. Fester's Quest has nice art style and very unique creepy atmosphere like Zombies Ate my Neighbors. Fester was way scarier though. I remember playing this on our black and white telly and we couldn't even tell difference between power-ups and power-downs, they were both same grey. Never finished it either.

Notice how the weapons and monster types resemble Blaster Master very closely? It's like Sunsoft just flipped assets for Fester's Quest, which is a shame. I think there was a good game in there somewhere when I played it.

I loved the Adams Family as a kid and wanted this game badly. This game was one of the worst games I've ever played. I used to throw the controller on the floor due to the terrible gun and gameplay. The gun is one of the worst weapons in gaming history. Fester might as well be shooting a water gun as a weapon.

Not sure if he really does smoke or not but there is a technique employed by actors whereby you can draw on a cigarette of cigar without actually inhaling the smoke. Its very effective and looks like you are genuinely smoking. Also leaves a crappy taste in your mouth, hahaha. However, given his background I'm sure he'd be aware of it!

lol, good stuff man but actually Festers Quest is a decent game. Pretty easy too. All you have to do is grind at the very beginning before ever getting into the sewer and max your weapon out. After that the game aint shit. Especially when you get your whip later. Max it up right away too. Just stay away from the red gun and red whip power ups.

My mother rented Fester's Quest back in the day. She use to play many NES games with me back in grade school. We were both rather disappointed in it. The Peanuts Olympics was the game we played the most together as well as the Three Stooges, and Duck Hunt on NES. Now she rarely plays PS3 other than bowling with the move.

The programmer of Addams Family for SNES, Amiga AND Sega is James Higgins. One guy. Unbelievable but true. The whole game is done by 4 guys and 2 playtesters. How do I know? I just finished the game and recorded the end credits. They all have a portrait and their name on the credits.
