I have an AVI-8 watch as well... love those watches. Very tastefully done. They're made in China... and owned by a conglomerate that makes watches in China... but all of them are very high quality, and the parent company is in the UK.

Thanks for sharing … I’m curious about this brand. After this review, it entices me to look deeper into this brand. I must say that I’m biased about pilot-like watches. I love the legibility and the functionality of these watches.

I have this exact watch. Midnight Oak. I love it. The only thing I wish they would improve is how long the lume lasts ... it doesn't make it halfway through the night. I have Citizen watches that stay readable all night.

I'm a huge WW2 era equipment buff. This has a more recognizable dial layout than the Zero West "spitfire" and with almost 10 times cheaper retail. Awsome.

Anyone answer my question please. I am new to this type of watch. I have been given one for my birthday; I understand the operation but I don’t get why the second hand does not move all of the time. Only for 1 hour after pressing the top button. May sound silly I know!

This looks much better from Avi8. They’ve had a tendency towards big and ugly(ish) previously.
