Not a fan of the rivet "tattoos" at all though could live with the wing on the winding side. Date at six would have kept symmetry better. There is no excuse for not having a bracelet option IMO. Pass.

The large "Explorer - type" numerals at 12-3-6-9 o'clock ruin the B-Type dial. Fail! On the other hand, a B-Type dial has nothing to do with Spitfire, they should rather have used the A-Type dial! Fail! Honestly, I don't like any of Avi-8 designs.

Not bad, but far from perfection. In order to make it perfect, they should lose that inner dial and military time numbers, make the dial all black, move the date window at 6, skim few millimeters off the case to decrease thickness, and most importantly - put in a quartz movement, with anti-shock resistance. Now that would be a perfectly usable watch. And the positive side effect would be that it'd cost at least 50% less.

Agree 100%, nh35 movements aren't anywhere near as accurate as a good quartz and are just so much more reliable. There's just FAR too many automatics on the market these days and they are clearly inferior, yet people seem to have some kind of weird passion for vastly outdated tech. Accuracy is everything in a watch, especially in a military watch.
