Thanks for the look at the Avi, Russ! My wife and were out there in the car early this spring. We didn’t get a chance to check out the Avi properly. That was also a nice shot of the Colorado Belle casino. It is worth a look around just by itself. You can walk on a boardwalk type deal right on the river. The Colorado Bell looks like a river boat, very cool. That’s a good tip to buy your fuel on the Arizona side. If you are in Laughlin, you just cross the river and buy your gas in Bullhead City!

The Avi free dry camp area has real good free WiFi. The Avi KOA has bad WiFi if you can even get any. They've been aware of it for years, they don't care. I've never experienced good WiFi at any KOA. The Avi KOA was $19 to $26 a night forever but now very expensive. Dunno the Generator rule in the dry area but probably OK in this heat. The Riverside RV park is dated and can be difficult for rigs over 28' long. Needs updating.

There is a huge RV park right across the street from the Riverside. It gets pretty crowded and tight during the winter, but other times aren't real bad.

I’m very familiar with the Fort Mohave area. Until very recently, I used to visit my mom there. First aerial view I’ve seen of the Avi casino area. Lots of new homes off Bullhead parkway.

there is a border marker but its on needles highway, but not really at the actual tri-state border N 35° 00.858 W 114° 39.706 "solar observations erred slightly--the actual line now being 3/4 mile to the north."

There is a 3 state corner marker, but as the sign there says, it is in the wrong place. It is just off the needles highway just south of where the ava macav meets needles hwy.

Cool footage. I believe at the 4:50 time marker. The spot in the river just past those small little islands (don't know if they're called that) is where the CA NV AZ borders intersect. It's really a hoot to me. It would be neat to own the parcels of land near that intersection. I'd even build a foot bridge across the river to cross all 3 borders for fun 😂 Never been in that part of NV before. I appreciate the footage. Thank you!

We were in Laughlin a couple of months ago for one of my grandson's 18th birthday. Those AVI Casino signs are pretty impressive on the way in. Stayed at the Edgewater and hung out on the Arizona side of the Colorado River. 115 degrees, water was the usual 56. Covered the trip and some town history as part of our "Adam x Two Weekend" video. Cameras didn't like the weather at all. The Butterfly was not real happy with it either. It's a fun town with lots to do in the area. Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort and Casino has an RV park across the street and the River City RV Park is just across the river. Donald "Don" Laughlin is still with us and it's said keeping his usual schedule. Visit Don Laughlin's desert oasis if you get a chance. We're going to wait till fall to go back I think. In Bullhead city right now I think the cheapest gas is $2.43 a gallon that’s at Hancock and Highway 95 in Bullhead city at the fast trip. You should’ve cruise the A-DOCK You know, where you take the boat across from Arizona to Laughlin. Don Laughlin’s Riverside Casino. Anyway nice video. Could’ve covered a lot more. But now I am subscribed

We have stayed at the Avi KOA for $25/nite including access to pool and other hotel amenities. Stayed at the Alamogordo KOA last nite for $30 in town. When I left home in Orange County, CA earlier this month, gas was $3.20/gal at Costco.

If you go there again at the far end of the camp sites walk up the hill you can get Verizon cell signal I have camp there for years I love the place I cannot go up or down to Arizona without stop there

I went to the Avi oh I guess about 11 or 12 years ago. We attended the most fabulous car show I have ever seen there. Plus the women down on the beach were pretty awesome also! ;)

Also, did you notice the abandoned golf course and resort off to the east side of road on way to Laughlin between Avi and the casinos in Laughlin. Also, a shortcut if you take a right at the street by gilligans.

I went to pilot training right across river from there at A20 sun valley airport, Sheble Aviation. Our approach pattern was exactly over the bridge where you flew your drone 800 AGL. This video brought back so many memories. The Burger King got upgraded! It used to be by the subway and the Mexican food joint by Safeway. The buffet at Harrah in Laughlin was great! I lived there for two years from San Diego Carlsbad. We also used to practice short field landings and takeoffs in that dirt area by the free rv parking. All the locals highly dislike Avi for some reason

I'll be in Laughlin in a month. There's more overhead shade for vehicles in the student parking lot of my High School in El Monte than in this entire town. Kind of leaves you and your new paint job on the collector car pretty exposes. I'm bringing a large quilted blanket....for the car!!!

I drove to Casino Drive and back to Vegas. I never knew this part of Laughlin existed. I love the drive. Avi Casino is a Gem to see. The gate to the boat ramp was closed but the River is amazing to see. Thank You for taking this video, what a pleasant surprised. I’m shocked the farm land is growing Alfalfa and Cotton. Wow Cotton in the Desert.

Gee I was enjoying this drive looking all around. Places around the Colorado River seem to do nicely. Have they ever got the Casino's around that area. Today I got gas here in Texas for 2.16 a gallon and after looking at the gas prices here I didn't do to bad. Thanks for the tour of the area as appreciate it.

$70 for KOA camping?!? I've never paid over $25 a night for various Laughlin hotel rooms in the past 25 years. The cheapest was $8 when the hotels would have price wars on their billboards and the water taxis were free-- good ol days.😁

Just an update: The free camping lot is now closed until further notice. I guess this casino won't be getting my business as I pass buy later this year. I'll spend my money in Laughlin proper where there are a few free parking lots for RVs. I didn't buy a motorhome and install an expensive solar system with lithium batteries in order to be self-sufficient to be forced to stay in expensive KOAs.
