What an amazing first solo and grass field experience. Well done. It’s my dream to add an old tail dragged to my stable. Some day… some day.

Very nice job. Just came across your videos. I did my first solo back in April 2021 at my Dad's grass airstrip. Such a fun experience.

I love to see your progress, because it reminds me when i was learning how to deal with the Luscombe haha. Congratulations!

Grass landings are so much more forgiving then asphalt. When I was actively teaching conventional gear I started my students off on grass.

Didn't have that option, but I am glad I (eventually) learned to do this on asphalt

Great job! My thumb started cramping, I noticed I was gripping the heck out my iPad following along. Not easy learning tail wheel. Can’t wait for the next video on your progress.

Very nice. How many hours & landings did you have in the Luscombe when you soloed?

I would have to check my logbook, but I think it was under 10 hrs (though the first 5 were XC from the delivery trip). Maybe 30-40 landings?

a 20 year old Garmin GPS! I use foreflight on my iPhone for general situational awerness etc. Use the Garmin to point me in the right direction.
