Hi, thanks for putting this up. I joined in '67 and did my first basic course at the FSTS as you see here, It was a months course and then back again 6 months later for a more intence 2nd course on aircraft and equipement plus the latest in fire clothing etc. The rest of training took place at the airport where one was stationed. Every 4 yrs back for further updates and tactics as per the CAA-FAA and our licenses. A great life and a great bunch of lads to work with at Heathrow.

Better foam, air blown, than the modern stuff. Stuck like s... To a shovel. Looks like an ex RAF Mk5 crash truck in use. Spent 23 years in the finest airfield fire and rescue services - the RAF, in the world.
