Years and years ago, a friend and I would run checks from College Station to Beaumont to Houston Hobby and return. We would come out of Hobby at 3am. We had done this run so many times, the controllers knew us and the aircraft. As said to them maintain 2000 or below. These flights were magical. Thanks for bringing back memories.

Brought back memories. I'm back in my home state of NH getting close to taking the practical for my private but retired from the Houston Police department several years ago. I have flown around Houston many times in Police helicopters but never at night, awesome footage! A very close friend and classmate (police academy) managed to become an HPD pilot, something I very much would have liked to have done but never had to connections to make that happen, but I'm finally doing it on my own. You do an excellent job with your videos btw, very professional and always enjoy watching them. Keep up the good work and I might stop and say hi at sun and fun this year if you're planning on going.

Wow! So many memories. Got my private ticket at LaPorte in 1975 ... spent a lot of time between there, Hobby, Hooks, Scholls field, Eagle Lake ,,, you name it. Many times rented a 172 at Hobby and departed straight south from runway 17 down to Galveston ... my friends were always impressed how quickly we got there compared to driving down I45 ... the infamous Gulf Freeway! Takeoff from SCHOLL was always fun out over the seawall and beaches and Gulf of Mexico ... what scenery! Noticed you guys flew over one or more refineries ... were they Texas City area or over the ship channel? Was always amazed that you could smell them in the aircraft and they produced a good bit of turbulence.
